Laws are for the civilized

Laws are essentially for human beings. The same are applied to the beasts also. Thats the difficulty. So you get penalised for wrong parking and beaten up if you protest peacefully, but if you are 17 years and 360 day old JJA 2(k) says you are a child and even if you commit brutal rape causing death you should be sent to a good correction home and ss 3 says that even after 6 days when you attain adulthood, for investgation and trial you will continue to be treated as a child. So fear not if you are a day less than 18 years.

Law should be gender neutral. Raping of small boys as well as woman should be treated at par .Many boys in India go through sexual abuses more so in family and outside also , specially those from weaker sections. Hence government first protect rights of juvenile and if juvenile are to be treated at par with adults they also should be given voting right from that age itself as you cannot say they cannot do anything to government as they can't even vote but law can be made against them.

Had the rape victim been a daughter of senior judges/ ruling party ministers, the judiciary would have treated the case totally different ?

It would be better for Juvenile Court to take a decision to keep that B*std in Jail till he completes his 18 yrs (on record) and hang him next day. Just a matter of few days. That will be a true alternative justice. No other way.

Juvenile?
by Srijoy Palit on Jan 30, 2013 09:40 PM

there must be change in the law of the land if this law cannot punish a brutal criminal. When a child is adult enough to commit brutality he cannot be considered a child anymore. I n today's first changing society a child becomes adult early. So the law must be changed.

he doesn't deserve a second chance
by praveen on Jan 30, 2013 09:34 PM

NO MADAMS, that bas**rd doesn't deserve a second chance.... he deserves to be beaten to death, his insides out... he is not a kid, he is a monster now using the law to escape the fate he deserved - to be hanged till death! People, it would be a shame if he continues to live and worse, live well off after completing the maximum punishment of 3 years that he is liable to get. That girl deserves justice and it would be a shame for all of us if we just let her fade away from our minds till this brute animal is alive

When we look at the Delhi Gang Rape.

It seems these guys "this gang" particularly are regularly raping women.

This was not their first rape. They are systematic, well versed and daring to do it along the roads of delhi.

Gang Rapes in India.
by stupid dhamini on Jan 30, 2013 09:27 PM

The statement itself states that it's a "Gang"

It is not about Indian Men as a whole.

It is about Gangsters.

Number of Gangsters has increased threatening the law and order situation.
