All have given up before criminals
by tammi aqua on Jan 09, 2013 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

None have the guts to Qn the politicians or police officials, either have the power to punish the crimals. So what best can be done is BLAME the accused, what else is expected from cowards???? it is a pity, the days are'nt far when people would get into the houses and rape women and walk out proudly, and the so called protectors would say "its her mistake, she should have had a good security system at her home" SHAME

It is not like that. The truth is no body is ready to stop and ponder over why crimes take place and what should be the solutions. Sadly, the politicians, think tanks and media are all out just to cash in on this great tragedy of our times. It shows how materialistic we have become and we immediately commoditise and issue (no matter how terrible or heinous it may be). Our youth is just angry. It has no answer to it. They call for strong punishment knowing well the scale of coruption prevalent in the society which they are very much a part of. They carried out a massive movement against Corruption last year but failed to take it to its logical end. They are looking at political leadership for solutions but are not ready to BECOME leaders. It seems we expecting a lot from our youth while it is just not capable of bringing about any type of positive change but for going after latest gadgets, girls and money. The sad part of the story is that they are all pointing fingers in all possible directions: politicians, dharm gurus and police or judiciary but refuse to scrutinise their own character and value system. There is sanskrit saying: Yatha Pinde tatha Brahmande i.e. the Unverse is exactly the same as the smallest particle it is made of. The same way, society is exactly like what its individual members are. If individuals are good, honest, law abiding and hard working, there will be less crimes.

Shame that tulers and intellectuals and media have NOT thought of long term steps to prevent eve teasing&rapes, etc To prevent eve-teasing of grils and
women and to prevent rapes, there must be WELL planned measures& NOT
just talk ONLY, what a shame! There must be special buses &special compartments in trains for girls and
women only and they should be driven by female drivers and there msut be
woman conductors and woman assistants to help them too, NO OTHER solution
to eve teasing in delhi&rapes too, Further there must be majority
women constables in police stations&separate women wing in each police station and police stations controlled by women ONLY and with no
men! Double or triple the number of police women and number of women-
only police stations too all over india now! Lastly Ban Bollywood, kollywood, regional cinemas, Obscene Media TV ads, TV dance shwos, etc which provoke and make us an eve-teasing&rape Nation too!At least,RSS,VHP&BJP can implement the above measurs i BJP ruled states and show to the world how to protect the honour of women and to protect them from eve teasers, rapiists, etc, etc

Marriage is a conract
by venu gopal on Jan 09, 2013 04:44 PM  | Hide replies

"A husband and wife are involved in a contract under which the husband has said that you should take care of my house and I will take care of all your needs. I will keep you safe."
He is correct in the above statement provided the norms of those days that husband is the sole bread winner and wife was the house keeper. But now the situation is changed with both earning and women are more independent and more educated and daringly emboldened to face the world. Then why blame men only ? .
