Why not venture out at night?
by seema on Jan 09, 2013 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

What if the girl is going to or returning from a hospital? What if she is looking for an all night pharmacy to buy medicine?

Suppose she has no male relatives, then who will accompany her at night? SO then she should stay at home and let the sick family member die, just becoz Mr Abu Azmi says so?

Seema i get your point but your example is all wrong. What will she achieve by going out, getting raped and coming home to find the family member dead? It would make more sense to call and ambulance and pack of this member to the nearest hospital?

As regards Sri Mohan Bhagwat's remarks, it is abolutely shocking that Rediff should continue to misquote him - even after several news guys have already apologised / withdrawn their remarks after having egg on their faces about the misquoting.... Rediff, pls do your basic homework....

Misquoting is more entertaining and profitable than quoting him!

Would you read what he actually said if it didn't have words "shocker" "Another foot-in-the-mouth gaffe" in the title of the article?

No!

Simple!

Whatever Mohan Bhagawat may be, in this case rediff continues to misquote him even after the so called seculars like NDTV, CNN-IBN have reluctantly apologised. Does rediff have no standards to check the truthfulness of the articles. Or you are so beholden to congress that you take every opportunity to bash the opponents of congress. Shame on you.

THE UNWANTED CRITICS ON DELHI RAPE.
by CHANDRAKANT PARIKH on Jan 09, 2013 10:44 AM

THE MEDIA IN THE RACE OF INCREASING THEIR TRP UNUSUALLY GIVE WEIGHTAGE TO STRAY REMARKS BY PROVED RASCALS. IT IS WELL KNOWN THAT THIS ASHARAM,WHO WAS ONCE UPON A TIME A SEASONED BOOTLAGER IN AHMEDABAD, HAS FACED MANY CASES OF FEMALE MOLESTATION IN PAST AND YET THE SAME MEDIA PROJECT HIM AS "SAINT -RELIGIOUS PERSON" AND GIVE WIDE COVERAGE TO WHAT NONSENSE HE SPEAKS.HE EVEN DARES TO CALL MEDIA AS "DOGS" IT SEEMS THAT MEDIA - PRINT OR ELECTRONICS -HAS LOST THEIR SELF RESPECT AND BASIC PURPOSE TO SERVE AS THE FOURTH ESTATE OF DEMOCRACY.
