Deal with Augusta was not initiated by BJP the parameters were made less stringent by BJP.. Otherwise the original parameters would have made the cost even higher... Words are like swords use them carefully..
Antony categorically said that the deal would be cancelled as he did with blacklisting 6 powerful global defence firms. Have you heard of such strict actions anytime previously? If the deal is cancelled, who gets hurt and who gets affected?Its the the bribe givers and takers gets impacted most as money was paid w/o getting the deal done. So not sure what is the meaning of saying that his influence has reduced? In the contrary, he is probably one of the most honest and hardworking defence ministers we have seen as under whose tenure the defence spending limit almost touched its goal and add to that is that for the first time in history very stringent rules for arms procurement are in place now (or going to be in place; I forgot). By ridiculing such honest politicians, you are directly or indirectly adding fuel to the lobby (which is very strong) who wants Antony out from that chair!!!. I have been tracking Antony's career for a long and one of his biggest drawback is that he doesn't market his acheivements at all and takes all the brickbats with a smile. Very recent example is how self financing college have become a backbone of a fledging Kerala; Whereas when it was announced under ANtony's leadership, it was tarnished by everybody as a corrupt move. As always, I am sure time will tell how effective he has been as thats been his charecteristic; Otherwise how do you explain a person who was Chief minister at 38 still having a bank balance of just 2 lakhs...You guys take a cal

If Antony is so honest and clean, then why is he still with the super-corrupt Congress ? Nobody who takes pride in being honest will tolerate rubbing shoulders with corrupt colleagues.

from the day Manmohan Singh became PM, it was known who will be running the govt. congress and UPA have cheated the country. all, sharad pawar, karunanidhi, mayawathi, mulayam all are responsible for this.
