Music is not allowed in islam
by syed ashfaq on Feb 05, 2013 10:40 AM  | Hide replies

Music is not allowed in islam becouse if you take time to observe around you will see that music is a path to adultery and fornication. It plants the seed of hypocrisy , the seed of polytheism. When people turn to music, like it and get addicted to it, it becomes the alcohol of the mind. One turns away from the Qur’an more than anything else once their hearts become addicted to music.

@syed ashfaq: Music makes a man to calm, peace, and relax, not just "adultery and fornication" what ever may be the format or style. I think even there is Arabic music...then what is the problem?

You are the best sample for the malady thats affecting your people. First of all why shd anyone have any authority to force anyone to think ONLY of anything? And have you read the Quran properly? Where does it say that music is not allowed? And internet always "deviates" your mind. REading also "deviates" your mind. S ex also "deviates" your mind. Why dont you ban all those? The problem with your "leaders" is that they do not want to follow Islam in its real sense. But a regressive concept these people have come up with. Why? Thats the only way to have control and retain their power. And its pathetic taht people like you never understand those designs and defend those "leaders".

J&K girls band stopped
by anil mukherjee on Feb 05, 2013 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

Very unfortunate that in a democratic country with freedom of expression the girls band in J&K is stopped from singing and dancing.Central Govt should intervene or some group should appeal to Supreme court for permitting the girls to sing and dance,Good sense should prevail.

There is a height of double standards. Sangh- keeps roaming around parks. Harass couples at public places. Humiliate girls wearing jeans. Attack on clubs, group dance and disco. Advocate and act against celebrating valentine day but never loose an opportunity to criticize Islamic values. What a double standard. Their mind, thinking, intellect is ceased and fully manifest hypocrisy, double standards. This is their centuries old enmity and grouse against minority. Let them go and try to rehabilitate women in red light areas where hafta- is fixed for politicians and police.

They don't kill girls for music or education. In your world girls like Malala get shot and many more get killed.

Let us all understand that thinking of these moral policing groups are same. The only difference is that they are from different sects and beliefs. And goes to prove that all of them have the same Indian mind of absolute conservatism and also curtail freedom of speach. And you and me belong to same Indian group.

Digvijay Singh talked some sense. At least symbolically he seem to be against Muslim fundamentalism, though on the ground what he does can be quite different
