Not JokePal here, India should have consulate on cruise ship. It would be much cheaper if India gets a small size cruise ship and have consulate over the sea. People needing visas can be ferried to the consulate over the sea. It would be no different from big cruise ship that employs Asians, East Europeans, Africans and so on cruise ship at cheaper rate compared to land. As sea recruitment/worker follow sea laws and sea salary that are lower than land salary and they work per stipulated ship laws. Indian consulate personal will have no visa issues as they are over the sea. They can also have within the consulate school over the ship. No issues of visa for school teachers. What more, senior officers can travel to USA by ferry if they need to have meeting or have their children attend university. One small cruise ship consulate over New-York, another one over Florida and same for west coast. And when there is sea storm, the consulate ship can move around to avoid being hit. WHAT MORE JUST LIKE IT HAPPENS IN CRUISE INDUSTRY, workers can return to India every year and replacement can arrive to cover when they are gone.

Educated women in India will not do any household work . They want servants at their beck and call. This was taken over to in the US also. That is the main problem. Ladies cannot do anything without servants. It is well deserved

Basic question

I have a basic question. Why do Indian diplomats need to transfer maids from India when highly paid CEOs and other execs rarely have such need. They usually employ locals for house cleaning and baby-sitting activities.

I too have the same question, Does the govt of India pay its New York posted diplomats dollar salary of the scale that diplomats from other countries(and execs from private companies) get or does it pay them nominal dollar stipend in addition to an indian rupee salary. Private companies pay salary on a scale suitable for local living cost which allows its execs to hire local maids at appropriate local costs. Why cant govt do the same.

Indian mentality should change

In this 21st century social apartheid is unacceptable. Indian civil servants and upper class people should learn how to behave in kind and humility with other human being. Whatever US does was according to the law of the land. Indian diplomat was in fault, she did not treat her servant humanely. She was also involved in Adhash scam. Think about her morality. All other so called Indian diplomats crying fox.

What is the big deal with these lazy embassy workers? Why they need servants? Can't they move their lazyASSES and take care of themselves in USA without servants? Americans work harder and don't have servants. Time these lazyASSES from India live like regular people in USA.

why to harass her family
by arvind d on Dec 18, 2013 02:38 AM

Even if she is wrong or greedy or went against a prominent politician or diplomat... y the GOI targeting her husband and kid? Are we diplomatic or ruled by Dictators? I am sure US has given her Asylum. She has a good case for this. Second why GOI was giving so much facilities to US embassy employees? Y they were given unnecessary exemptions? Can we come out of our slave mentality now? Third thing, in US court if Khobaragade can prove innocence then only there is a chance for her. Else she has to be behing the bars for years. Outside India there is law and lawlessness is punished harshly. If u r on wrong side of the law u r done. India is better in this way if u kill a person in acciddent it is called as culpable homicide not amounting to murder and is bailable with max few years of punishment if proved for reckless driving.
There is difference in how the law is implemented. Yeah the way she is treated is not so good, coz thats the way police treats if u break the law. Thats the process, TSA strip anyone whm they feel cud be a threat thats procedure.
