HAD IT BEEN A CLOSE MEMBER OF HIGH CONGRESS MEMBER,THE ACTION WOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN A SINGLE DAY. AS SUNIL SHINDE'S CAR WAS TRACKED IN A DAY BY THE POLICE.
So nothing new has happened with and after this rape except for the victim being new!
The finger pointing and temporary outrage are in full bloom.
The problem remains as it is and its solution is nowhere in sight.
So what can be done about this problem?
As a free nation our women should be able to enjoy this freedom as much as men do.
But are we a nation of civilized mature people?
F--k No!
So why do we have these animals amongst us and what can we do about them?
There is a lot of demand for death penalty and other forms of corporeal punishments but the conviction rate for this crime is so pathetically low, it would be too optimistic to expect that these punishments could handed out!
Culturally, Indians are brought up to believe men are superior and women subordinate to them.
Changing this important belief may be the key but would take ages to implement.
So we are back to square one.
The only real solution in these situation is a system of instant public trial and instant conviction.
It is a well known fact that such cases take ages to resolve in our system.
If only these cases were given special status and tried publicly, would we see any difference with or without the death penalty as the final punishment!

Mostly agree. These crimes deserves death penalty. As courts are waste of time for us, your suggestion is too good to escape the attacks from criminals like acid attack and rape, murder etc.
Daily in morning you open T.V or Newspaper you will find rape stories, and it makes you belive that rape is growing n growing. But why all of suddenly rape in india has grown so high. we don't need to find the answer. few points which i think is are as: A. THE INDIAN CULTURE HAD ADOPTED DRESSING STYLES OF WESTERN PEOPLE BUT NOT MIND SET. B. THE DRESSING STYLES OF CELEBRITIES N THEIR LIFE STYLES IS GIVING AN EFFECT ON OUR LIFE. C. RAPIST ARE 90% KNOWN PERSONS TO VICTIM. D. WE HAVE ADOPTED LIVING PARTNER SYSTEM. E.WOMEN NOW A DAYS FEEL SHOWING THEIR FIGURE IN PUBLIC THRUGH THEIR DRESS IS HIGH STANDARD. F. MANY WOMEN ARE READY FOR ANYTHING WHEN IT COMES FOR THEIR OWN WELFARE OR PROMOTION. G. CHEER LEADERS IN IPL, COMMENTATORS IN CRICKET,ARE READY TO SHOW OFF THEIR BODIES. We as human as sympathy with victims but if all women we don't agree, many invite trouble for themselves.

This is a medieval thinking.There is no fix culture in dressing Dressing is based on climate,convenience and improved quality of dress material/style.Why is the Guru raping his women devotee?In India rape occurs because the girl child is discriminated by the Mother while she is growing up this happens in most north indian states.This does not happen in Kerala where girl child is brought up in respect and love.

It is not bcoz of just one single reason, even Kerala has rape victims
Improvement in preventive measures by Police, Improvement in punishment, Improvement in Rights for Women, Improvement in Social Behavioral change among Men and Women, Legalizing Red Lights areas etc can help in reducing the number of victims
shame less govt. and court shadowing them. Its happen only in india. Culprits have no fear because they have Our Courts to protect them. Mera Bharat Mahan
