Whom to Blame?
by Bhajiya on Aug 25, 2013 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

First thing first, be it men or women must understand the risk of going to strange places which are isolated and without any presence of people around. Its not safe this is commonsense.

Weekly Magazine owner or editor before giving any assignment must ensure their employees safety and security this aspect is missing from most of mediocre Indian employers.
Unfortunately, no one in media questioning the Magazine for giving task which has security risk to life of female employee.

Government must bring laws to safeguard like Factories Act and BPO employees security measures have to be provided to female employees by the employers.
Employment and career is adding pressure on our young children to risk their life is not good practice.

No parent or employer can rely on police or public protection its totally insane in city like Mumbai where no one bother for others life and risk to life. All female employees must be given protective equipments that prevent them from such miscreants she can use equipment effectively like red chilly power, spray, small knife etc..for self defense.

Women must ensure, presence of good defendable and dependable colleague around her if she is visiting places where she can feel new to her having some risk.

I am afraid to say that In present case, victim did not use her presence of mind when she found strange stray boys around while shooting unnecessarily.
Also her colleagues incapacity to judge the situation around out of his control.

Ireespective of the small preventive measures suggested by you, the attackers would find a way to prey on their target. Hence, it's better to avoid high risk places, as you have mentioned later in your message. Irrespective of the country we live in, every country has good and bad people. I know that rape is a horrible crime, but rapes do happen in every country. In fact, look at top 10 countries with highest number of rapes - USA, India, UK, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Belgium, Thailand. Rapes per 1000 population are also highest among some of the developed countries such as South Africa, Sweden, UK, Australia, among other less developed countries. So, it's just not a problem that our country is facing, It's a universal problem. Only difference is that in our country, only poor guys get caught and punished. The rich ones and politicians easily escape the punishment. The only solution is to have preventive measures that complement strict laws, effective policing and swift judicial process that does not traumatize the victim even more.

This is lesson for every parent having daughter to be careful and guide their daughters to dare. I am from Mumbai local I know majority of local people do have confidence and attitude to get away with such strange people with some exceptions because they are mentally aware psyche and criminal mind sets unless its totally unpredictable. Most of the cases like this are predictable for local girls and boys how to deal is they knows well they read situations well.

These offenders have noticed that these girl and boy are novice and they don't know the tricks. Criminals also use judgement whether risk is manageable and how far offense can be driven. But this couple seems lost confidence and exposed they are totally not prepared for this situation.

Today when I meet my friends who are all around 65 years of age - one thing which is common among all of us is cynical and pessimism - even those who were ever optimistic .We had a group which never believed any thing is impossible even if the odds were one in million - we used to say let us try and fail but not give up. All that is shattered -today when I speak to students I tell them to read the paper at the end of the day but not in the morning .What do you see in paper looting ,crimes, scams ,destroying modesty of women etc WHO IS RESPONSIBLE -CORRUPT ,CRIMINAL ,GOONS WHO ARE OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES WHO ARE IN POLITICS FOR ONE AND ONLY ONE REASON LOOT AND DESTROY THE NATION -THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVIL AND NOT AN IOTA OF GOOD

there is also a lot of good things happening that don't get reported. if only we can see them ourselves and not through media. you will enjoy life.
Man as a single person is very nice, in society he changes colours.

Hence so many of us are simple and good individually.
Today life has changed and after 1991 it is fast and commercial. we need to live with what we have..
There is life outside politics...

where there is money, there will always be greed. today most incidents happen after a drink or when a person is semi-conscious.
otherwise people are normal.

Relax....

Dynasty politics is a different issue and rape is different one. Rape is something that happens everywhere and related to human behavior. Irrespective of the country we live in, every country has good and bad people. I know that rape is a horrible crime, but rapes do happen in every country.
