Death penalty is certainly not a solution. Dont we have death penalty for murders, did that stop murders from happening?
What can be a deterrent is making it compulsory that rape cases would be tried in fast track courts and judgements have to be passed in max 6 months.
The other part is activity of bringing in moral values so that people dont treat women as commodities for enjoyment, how that has to be done is a long exhaustive process which can be summarised to say, it has to start from each individual on his own.
It is true that biologically men are at advantage on many grounds, though GOD seem to have meant no the way we consider woman as 'second' to man! Both are having several 'hidden powers' which are complementary to each other.
Bless the young males with the right education, a demanding job that pays good, satisfying conjugal life through marriage and a happy high quality family environment. Of course there should be the fear of death penalty for any incidence of rape done by them.
Scarecity encarage the desire . If anything easily available the crime definatly reduce . So my personal view (i may be wrong ) is in big city govt open for sexworkers bisiness i mean prostitution.
Rape is nothing but 'mental illness' born out of wrong upbringing of the the rapist during early days in his life. May be it can be treated like any other perverted character.
