Stop showing girls as
by sanjay kulkarni on Apr 22, 2013 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

We should ban porn movies, sex tapes on YOU TUBE and other internet sites, intimate scenes in any of the indian movies - without such scenes also movies can be hit...

Along with this, STOP showing GIRLs as "item" girls or show pieces in advertises, filmy songs.
Why we need skin showing girls for advertisements? Example: Why there is need of girl with less cloths when to car exhibitions are organized.

Make our laws more stronger (no religion, state, caste should come in picture), if found guilty then these criminals should get life time punishment of being "gender-less"... Do something, which every one in the society will identify such people...
let these people beg for life hood from society... such cases should be considered for fast track trial and with in maximum 3 months the punishment should be declared....

Make girl child as equal shareholder for property matters, give them equal rights...

BAN legally - dowry taking or giving... this is like cancer which is causing people NOT to give birth to girl child....

There should be strict law - for a given opportunity- whether girl or boy - who performs well, will be given the assignment... dont differentiate between girl and boy..

Parents should teach each of their son(s) to respect the girl child since their (boys) childhood.

On the top of that every girl, young lady, old women should come forward to support other girl in trouble...

what we see is "mera kya jata hai" kind of attitude in m

Who is to be blamed?
by Tom Dick on Apr 22, 2013 08:15 PM  | Hide replies

No point in continuing with blame game. The problem has to be solved from home. The parents have a very big responsibility in inculcating moral values in their children. The lack of moral teaching at home is the reason why young men are acting like animals. Girls should be brought up in a way that they will have self confidence to meet any situation. Police vigilance and law enforcement must be swift. Punishment must be public for deterrence .

How can you expect 4-5 yrs old to have self confidence; once kidnapped, what they can do? I agree that they have to be taught the difference between types of TOUCH.

I thought you had enough brain to understand about the mental capacity of a child. Don't try to be smart by showing your ignorance. My main point is teaching a child about moral etiquette is the responsibility of the parents. A child brought up in a good atmosphere will not do rapes and such things in future.

Why not ban Alcohol
by Shailesh Jha on Apr 22, 2013 08:11 PM  | Hide replies

Similar to Nirbhaya's incidence, this time too the accused committed the heinous act under alcohol influence. Why not pressurize the government to ban the sell of Alcohol. Though this might not stop the crime 100% but yes surely will prevent up to a major extent.

totally agree with u . Alcohol is becoming the main reason for increasing number of crimes against women. though banning alcohol will not stop these crimes but will surely reduce them.

Delhi Rape Case....another instance
by Girish Vaish on Apr 22, 2013 08:05 PM

The environment of lawlessness, and the calibre of law enforcing agencies are at lowest point. All those ministers, politicians and bureaucrats in power and responsible for maintaining law and order have themselves taken highest security and therefore are neither concerned nor bothered about this environment of crimes. This pathetic and unfortunate situation has much to do with the criminality which has become integral part of most of the politicians and their politics. I think, if the security provided to all these persons in power is withdrawn, they will be forced to work for ensuring a crime free society. There is no case for providing security to these irresponsible persons in power if girls and women in our country are at such high risks.
