Wajid-Is it Al Taqquiya at work! Don't sugarcoat. The fact of the matter is that Mus1ims consider the Jews to be the ENEMY. The Koran reinforces this and even predicts their ultimate damnation. Period.
If Maya Kodnani & Babu Bajrangi are guilty, they deserve to be convicted & punished.
The Naroda Patiya case was one of nine cases of Gujarat riots being probed by the SIT, including the Godhra train burning case.The other SIT cases in which judgements have been pronounced include the case in Ode village of Anand where 18 persons were sentenced to life imprisonment and five others to seven years in prison by a special court last month, for the killing of 23 persons in Sardarpura riots & Best Bakery case also got convictions too.
Similarly 11 Is1amist fanatics/criminals have been convicted to death and 20others to lesser terms for burning train passengers alive in the Sabarmati Express at Godhra which was also probed by the SIT. How many Mus1ims & super secularists welcomed that judgement? It was because of the fanatics & zealots of Godhra that the Gujrat riots took place. These people too have the blood of their own community on their hands for triggering a violent backlash.
There is no denying the fact that certain right wing extremist elements targeted the Mus1im community in the surcharged environment after the Godhra train burning! It was a blot on the secular character of India. It is also a fact that there was a backlash against Mus1im extremism in Gujrat.
But accusing the entire Hindu community or even Modi's government of perpetrating genocide is clearly case of overkill and a distortion of the truth.

I am partly agreeing with u as we are not blaming the entire community.There r many good peoples among them if they were not there it was very hard to get the fact right.But there are clearly seen the bias of the Gujarat govt.to theminority community you cannot hide this is the truth.

Is1amist fanatics who have imbibed Wahabi/Salafi ideologies aim to destroy the Sufi essence of the Indian subcontinent's Is1am! It is propagation of these ideologies which led to the rise of extreme Right wing elements who became so called "protectors" of the Hindu/Indian way of life.
Be aware that India is still secular & liberal because of the tolerant & assimilative ethos of Hinduism. In the same way, Sufi Is1am is also a product of synthesis of the purer elements of Is1am! It co-existed and thrived for so many years and we all found a way to live & co-exist together!
Is it possible or even "human" to think about life after disenfranchising or ethnic cleansing 20crore fellow Indians just because they are Mus1im? Co existence is the only way out and we are all ready to counter the rabid ideologies that Is1amists are propagating. Once we do that, the lunatic Right wing elements will also lose their raison d'etre!

India has over 20crore Mus1im citizens and co-existence in a live & let live scenario is not impossible. Nobody is propagating their disenfranchisement or ethnic cleansing. They have all the rights, privileges and freedom that any other Indian citizen has. Do they also not have the same responsibilities like any other Indian? Do they not have to obey the laws of the country? When Muslims in liberal & democratic societies rightfully demand freedom to practise their faith, for liberty to wear head scarf or veils or call for othersto refrain from publishing Mohammed’s pics or images, etc, the large majority of moderates of other faiths too rightly support them. On the hand, how many Mus1im majority countries give the same privileges or rights to non Mus1ims?
Unfortunately, a large percntage of Mus1ims seem to be socially forced into paying lip service and allegiance to clerics who are LITERALISTIC & PURITANICAL followers of 7th century Islam & refuse to see any truth, scientific principles or social norms beyond what is supposedly written in the book, on the grounds that no deviation or reform is allowed for divine commandments!
Irrespective of the faith they follow, can anybody in Modern Society live as per the archaic and sometimes absurd guidelines laid down by some religious texts written thousands of years before? Yhis applies to people of all faiths. Reform or perish is the mantra!
