Chief minister Narendra Modi didn't spell out any apology for the 2002 riots, during his speech. But he gave indication that he wants this history to be buried. Addressing people before starting his fast on Saturday, Modi asked them to forget the past and be part of the development spree. If he regrets, then the best way to express that regret is to return the land to the original occupants from whom it was seized during the riots!
After all, the great majority of rioters never join in riots for any cause that they believe in; they just utilise it as an opportunity to rob!!
