Karnataka govt, Do you want to make money?
by Dev on Oct 12, 2012 06:39 AM  | Hide replies

put a website and state that you can make Vidhana soudha type building anywhere.
i reckon a few people will take it up. Mayawati maybe, Mamta, Modi ..

you might get a few takers in foreign too. as you may know, Taj Mahal might be duplicated in Dubai soon.

Maybe in USA, canada, england too somebody wants vidhana soudha duplicate
(rajasthani palace, fort builders should also advertise..will get many contracts)

well done! excellent building ! Belgaum is nice place with good climate. and as we know places in india with good climate are few..so belgaum should be developed properly. (hopefully with central govt help..my view is that it should be made union territory)

Btw what u people have done to vidharbha whr farmers are committing suicide even today.Donot have to say that its on its way out, whereas belgaum is prosperous where families are more concerned about their wards than about this non-existing dispute.First fight against the sword of terrorism that hangs on your state than wasting time on irrelevant issues.Appreciate raj thakre's views on this issue.

Farmers are committing suicide in various parts of India. Thats a separate issue. The issue here is that the belgaumkars want to be wid maha and karn isnt accepting the fact. It is supressing it by force, but how long?

Living in dreams! SS is the most dominant party in Vidarbha. and its knwn to the world that SS is vehemently opposed to separation. Still it comes to power! can you pls explain? By the way-- the point is Belgaum is ideally a marathi area which is illegally occupied by Karn.

This is nothing but a Gymic played by K'nataka govt to claim belgam , when the case is pending in SC, belgam should be declared by SC as union territory, that will be the best decision

Let Belgaum be where it is, part of Karnataka. Obviously there are many such boundary districts which will have ownership issues as there will be people of both languages.
Kasargod is another example.
Best is to declare status quo on all such district issues, and look at improving governance.
If all sections of Belgaum are represented well by the MLAs in Karnataka assembly, then I do not see what the problem is...

BJP has no Sense

Not sure why a second legislative building is needed in Karnataka. As indicated if winter sessions are held here, all MLA will charge travel costs and hotel costs for months. This will be a huge bill for the State Govt. for achieving almost nothing.

Instead the 127 acres could have been used to build world class Hospital, Library or University or some Research Center or even an home for the Elderly.

What as waste of money.

No, it was very much needed with reference to people of north karnataka as they were supposed to travel all the way to bangalore even for minor legislative works. But as you said MLAs will enjoy utilizing the chance of spending amount for their personal purpose
