It is not a blunder but a calculated move. The CPIM knows that they will not have any existence and will have to merge itself with Congress in near future.

I am not an admirer of his but he himself. Don't you remember the incident at Ramlila during which I had to run away in woman's attire.

CPM support
by ranjan kargupta on Jun 26, 2012 11:06 AM

CPM has rightly supported Pranab M, they had no other option also their bengal wing was in strong support. The kerala wing of Karat has done wonders to reduce CPM to a minor party. Now again talking of class movement is ok but our voters still vote by caste and money. Hence it is no no use taking a third line. No one accepts and no one cares...

Discussing it Politically..

There r 2 important issues coming up: 1 It is only with Left that such detailed debates based on political&ideological line come up even today after so many years of democracy. No other centre-right parties are bothered about debates&actions other than that of personal feuds&egos.
2. When CPI M decides about an ideological line based on situations, it is backed by the entire party. The corporate media always wants to highlight certain things which are anti-left. When Jyoti Basu was not made PM, it was called a historic blunder. But the left became the strongest force in the election afterwards just prior to supporting UPA-1, so the 'blunder' theory failed and party line was proven. The CPI & CPI M have taken seperate stands even in the past. CPI has joined the 'historic blunder' government, while CPI M did not. Though there is a crossing over of lines in this issue whether to support or not, contrary to all propoganda the CPI M is getting back strong even in West Bengal, as seen in the recent elections-Singur area was retained by Left, Bypoll majority of TMC has reduced etc. The most important issue is that whether a current minister should be immediately nominated to Presidency? He is having a cake-walk, but what Pranab has done to this country as Foriegn Minister & Finance Minister is not at all worth appreciable as far as statistics are concerned and considering his political legacy. Middle class is obsessed with Pro-US stoop down in 'capital' & fr

Which are the three States? Only one District. Because Tripura is smaller than the Biggest District of U.P.

Traitor

You Prasenjit is a Traitor. You had no hesitation to support a woman from a Known criminal family Patel. You have a lot of compaints against Pranab Mukherjee, but these complaints are valid against Patel and Ansari as well. So, why do you have to support them?

Bengalis got nothing from this Jhuta Azadi, when power was handed over to the pro-British Gandhi-Nehru-Patel, although Bengalis have founded every political parties whether Congress ( Umesh Banerjee) or Jana Sangh( Shyama Prasad Mukherjee). Most of the prisoners in Anadaman jail were Bengalis. 70 percent of the state was handed over the Pakistan by Gandhi. After 1947, everything was taken away from Bengal. Not a single Bengali was PM or President so far.
The South Indians like Karat and Yachury spoiled the chance of Jyoti Basu to be the PM in 1996. Now you are trying to spoil the chance for Pranabda, who is well known for his left leaning since 1966.
You are a Traitor.

Dada, does it mean that we should elect a person who supports corrupts and corruption?? Pranab is as corrupt as Raja, Kalmadi etc. He has done nothing for the country other than serving his masters @ 10 JP, whether it is on black money, economy etc. Chokh khulun dada.

Which politician is not a thief or corrupt?

Was Prativa Patel a uncorrupted person; there are allegations that her family members committed murder and theft.
Why the CPI(M) supported her then?
What about Ansari? What good had he done for the country to deserve the post of the Vice President?

This idiot Prasenjit is making excuse as the South Indians did in 1996. Karat-Yachury said there are about to start Revolution in JNU so Jyoti basu cannot be the PM.

However, they had no objection when anignorant farmer Deva Gaura became the PM, because he is also South Indian.
