The biggest question is why Pranab Mukherjee accepted the proposition to be the president of India? What will he gain from that position? If he could have stayed until 2014 he could have been the strong contender for the PM position. I believe Sania made a deal with Pranab. She was unhappy the way the economy was going and wanted to change the finance minister, but didn't want to remove Mr. Mukherjee. She also planned to give Rahul a chance for PM in next election. It was a win-win deal for both Mr. Mukherjee and Sania.

True.
But those are precisely the only regions where the most basic among reforms needed for a nation as backward and poverty stricken as India is has been carried out - namely, Land Reforms !
And as a result, Kerala today has just 13 % poverty as per the Planning Commission (and Bengal has 23 %) while the lowest poverty rate in the 'highly industrialised' states such as T.N, A.P, Maharashtra, Gujarat, etc. is 28 % !!

modi has come out clean in SC monitored SIT probe . hence not n jall . OK ?
CPI --M like the rest of the left is full of HYPOCRISY!!!!! Right from the time of Comrade Randive, CPI-M has been the most opportunistic party. What can one expect from a party that supported CHINA ion the October 1962 conflict. The CPI-M has extra territorial loyalties. The media showers undue importance on these blokes.

All Iyers have stinking mouths !
This is truer than you think !
Go around doing a comparison and find out for yourself !
While stinking mouths are not uncommon (you cannot escape them in public places), those of many Iyers are distinctive in that one can tell from metres away !!

Great! We all seem to think that black money is kept in currency notes deep inside the vaults of Swiss banks! Perhaps under the Alps somewhere near the Large Hadron Collider, perhaps!!!! All the money (how much... Rs 6 lac cr?) has just got to be lifted and physically brought in? That will be 6 cr bundles of Rs 1000 denomination, or about 12 cr bundles of miscellaneous denominations. Have that many notes been printed at all?? India's M3 (currency in circulation) is only Rs 6960,00,00,000 or 69,60,000 bundles of Rs 1000 denomination or Rs 1,39,20,000 of miscellaneous denominations!!!
Oh! they must have been invested in USD, Euro, British pound and various currencies as well as in RE, Gold, Bonds, Stocks etc. What a fool am I not to have considered that!
So, how are we going to "bring" all that back? How will all that be converted? Which country will let us bring it back in the first place? Do we Indians (including our politicians, Baba Ramdev, Annaji and a host of us fools) who keep talking about "bringing back" know how?
Do we know what will happen to India's inflation level? And the effect on the entire world economy?
But, one thing is certain, "Indian". Your prize money is safe with you till someone figures all this out!!!!! Ha Ha!

no need to "bring" it back physically.... as long as the countries holding those assets agree to recognize that the rightful owners of those assets is the Indian Republic, the benefits of ownership can accrue to the nation.... to bring it back by converting those assets from one form to another is only a procedural issue and a question of timing it... once the principal is settled, the process can always be set!! i hope i answer your question, even if partially... always open for debates!! :)
In any case, we have already allowed a big window from 2007 till date for the money to flow in... most beneficial now, with the USD/Rs conversion rate in favor.... more rupees per dollar!!
