It is good to be the winner. But howcome we should be proud coz she is American. Though origion is Indian but thier parents has not served the Indians. So nothing to cheer.

It doesnt matter if Americans dont care. When there is a question of skill and intellect, majority of Americans hardly bother. All they want is weekend getaways and relaxed life.
Leave Americans, why other nationals cant make the grade? Why winner and the runner-up are India origin? These are somefacts that are quite curious and worth looking into.
All said, its a matter of pride for Indians especially the NRI's whose first gen kids and making their presence felt.

do a study of second or third gen indians and you will see the reason. Man life is about living it to fullest not accumulating money or degrees and trying to conserve them all life

sam - point is not slogging or not having fun. I dont think the indian kids actully toil to get the prize, Its an innate talent that no one recognizes. Its not mugging up for heavens sake!
