What is the alternative in Karnataka?
by Mango Aadmi on Jul 03, 2012 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

Congress? It would be worse than this.. The way congressmen are fighting for the party president's post itself is shocking. 3 congress leaders go to the governor to complain against BJP government, but not together.

JDS, less said the better. The first to sow seeds of casteism in Karnataka, which was unfortunately continued by Yeddy, ofcourse with larger magnitude.
It is time for Gadkari and the BJP high command (if it exists,) to take a decision on Yeddy. There is no point in changing Sadananda Gowda now as he has been trying to do something good, at least giving a clean administration, if not anything.

It is rather unfortunate that people of Karnataka have to choose the Lesser thieves.

Its all about caste politics. Yeddy is known for his casteism, hence he is openly supporting Shettar from his caste for CM post. So is the case with all his foolish supporters, needless to say most of the resigned ministers were from his caste. Caste politics rules at the cost of progress! Pathetic!

A Godsend !!!
by Ricky topping on Jul 03, 2012 01:35 PM

Crisis is a godsend for both RULING and OPPOSITION groups.

Ruling party can have a 'rebirth' by mending themselves and planning ahead with a clear focus and a NEW YOUNG LEADER.

Opposition can bring out a 'black paper' and providing bipartisan support for the harmony of the state.

No better opportunity than this and KARNATAKA history can be marked with a white stone if good sense prompt actions are displayed.

Or else; ruins and nothing else; and here again the actions will be etched in Karnataka's History.

Choice is their's.

Teach a lesson

The BJP leadership should immeditely take action against this indiscipline in Karnataka. They should tell their state legislatures to mend their ways otherwise prepare for President rule. This will at least stop further tarnishing BJP image.

The following are few things to be understood:
1. This has nothing to do with party. All individual politician behave in the same way.
2. These politicians are insensitive to any problems pertaining to society.
3. The media, they latch on to anything which can help them fill the space / time and get them what they consider mileage.

Problem
by peter paul on Jul 03, 2012 12:47 PM

When one sticks too long with a problem, it becomes a part of problem. Bechari Janata Party stuck too long with the Ex Chief Miner of South and now has become a part of it. They should have instead got rid of this problem at early stage.
