No one is questioning the Mullahs and Maulvis what parts of the book did they find objectionable and then getting some scholars to enter into a live debate with them. Instead the media has accepted they have a true understanding of Islam and are debating on freedom of speech.
Now imagine if the Hindus had demanded that a Muslim writer be banned for offending their sentiments the Media would have told the protestors that they do not understand Sanatan Dharam, bashed their arguments the pseudo liberal brigade of Shabhana, Shobha De, Javed Aktar and other Muslims/Christians supported by Rajdeep Sardesai, Pronoy Roy would have screamed on streets/TV.
This whole issue has been planned by the Congress in order to get Muslim votes. Key players could be Diggy Singh and Ahmed Patel, Sonia G political advisor.
India is becoming more Islam than the Muslim nations themselves. This happens when those protesting are CONVERTS and ruled by a Christian lady who is out to kill Sanatan Dharam, a spinless PM who is an insult to Sikh Dharma. ARE MUSLIMS CONCERNED WITH SENTIMENTS OF OTHERS FOR EG KILLING OF COWS REVERED BY THE HINDUS? THE ANSWER IS NO. INDIAN MUSLIMS ONLY WANT OTHERS TO BE SENSITIVE PERIOD.

The govt stand on freedom of expression has beenDepl0rable to say the lleast.If someone doesnot like a book or a painting ,let him refrain from it.It shows his own vulnerability to his beloved faith!!! At the same time ,I see the elements who caused renowned artist MFHusain to take shelter in other country caliming to be champion of freedom!! TheB1g0ts have no locus standi.

Islam is very fragile and can easily collapse under the weight of free thoughts, ideas and opinions. This is well understood by its adherents.Hence, strong opposition and death threats are frequently issued.
mula rules india, all educated indians leave india, i am worried it could happened to us the way it happen to pandits of kashmir. Congress party only wants vote, so they will divide and rule anyway on people cost of life.
