Surya Namaskara is part of yoga with chanting of mantra. In my opinion there is no harm in introducing Surya Namaskara in schools but it should not be made compulsory for students who don’t want.

at Harjith singh Its easy n simple to say "Get Outta our Country".. 1) Can u guarantee that Indian Independence was secured only by Hindus..not one Muslim died for this cause. 2) Even if we decide to move to Gulf as immigrants .. can u gurantee 5 million non Muslim Indians working in Gulf who are getting paid 50000Rs avg per month get out of Gulf.. will u provide them fo

I do not understand why ppl need to pick up a fight on such petty issues. If muslims feel it is un-islamic then leave them alone. No one should be forced to do anything.
Bhavan Rao,Raja of Aundh introduced suryanamaskar in the schools he established between 1939-45.An English paper maliciously questioned his motives in forcing "adolescent girls wearing shorts" to perform the namaskar.The Raja complained to the British government.After thoroughly questioning the Raja,the government representatitive recommended that the practice can be allowed.
At this rate there might be fatwas on the majority community worship of idols of worship with flowers . Suryanamaskar is an ancient form of yoga being practised since ages.Attributing religious intent to it is plain laughable.
