Why the country is silent to worst racism on earth in the name of casteism ? Will the country protest for a dalit raped and murdered ? Will all Indians treat each other as equal humans before asking for gender equality ?
BTW coming to rape laws, already good laws are there, women centric laws are misused by women themselves big example is Dowry act. More men have committed suicide tham women due to this act. 50 million muslim women have no issues with Burkha (simple protection), why does upper caste upper class hindus are having issues wearing decent dress ? Even SOnia had called for girls to be simplistic at NIFT recent.

society. The words like lionheart/braveheart are exercise in smoke and mirrors just to draw a veil over our collegial failure as a society. If we say that this gruesome delhi incident has woken us up to the grim reality, then we are playing possum. The only silver bullet is spread of proper education and emancipation of india police force from the filty clutches of politicos and under an independent body of the ilk of EC.
If she was really brave she could have avoided rape ? Why all these hulla bulla after her death calling her brave heart or whatever ?? No one bothers if a dalit is raped or murdered, all these artificial protests are anti-democracy, they broke barricades, they went to Raisina Hill and became violent ? In what way establishment is responsible for private act ?
This is symptom of Upper caste protests nothing more. Laws will not change they know but all acting, only gas

You cannot force ALL to sypathasize with the rape victim. She and her boyfriend invited the rape. Took lift from a private vehicle and made no attempt to get off. Instead started fighting with 6 armed men. Wow!

Varsha, U r a big looser. You should be happy that one case has put this case forefront of all other issues in the country. New rules are being though of, security is up in the whole country. The biggest is thing that has happened is that most of the men who used to read rape cases with interest has started hating the news and their innermost sympathy and apathy is with women. Not every women is being seen with lust on the roads. They have respect. People like you can never go front to fight for changes, instead keep writing on posts that nothing will change. Sit in your homes and keep blaming the world for all your probs. Pity on you.

You don't know the full picture. Sorry first know the reality. After failure of most of the body parts/organ she lived for 13 days or so due to her will to live. Wanted to fight back the situation.

I agree with you Varsha. I think the rape victim was foolish. She made many blunders. One of them being provoking a fight with 6 drunk men.
Congress calls Indian citizens as beggars....see now what happened in the congress capital and near Rahul's house....Gang rape...shame on Congress....Is it good governance?
