Why cant this govt have a good Intelligence outfit? Why Social networking is blamed for riots? I am sure Govt can use to promote good news as well on social networking.

Yes agree, very soft. People are writing any thing against any body or make people laugh even on nation flag also.Yes we have freedom to speak but it should be control. The freedom remain freedom until it doesnot hurt any body but people love to make statement on these site with out thinking that it might hurn any body's
feeling.

by Indian on Aug 23, 2012 03:54 PM

I definitely didn't expect Vicky to toe govt line on censuring social media. Forgot the days where you got people to read your articles thru social media?

Well Done
by Dinesh R on Aug 23, 2012 03:36 PM

Good, they cannot learn anything good from China like the efficiency of the bureaucracy and the lack of corruption or the impetus towards growth, but they are definitely eager to block criticism of the government in the name of rumour mongering. I know the accounts that were blocked on twitter had nothing to do with rumour mongering. The people on ground who were spreading rumours and rioting in Lucknow and Mumbai are allowed to go scot free but people who talk about it online will be muffled.
