Sikh messacare in USA
by Krishna Menon on Aug 07, 2012 11:25 AM  | Hide replies

It is sad. But remember a innocent African student was brutally attacked by Sikh hoodlums in Jullander . The authorities took some action after 80 days. None were bothered pay a visit the battered boy in the hospital . The boy was battered because of his black skin . Racism is found in India also . Why to blame the white man when Indians come under attack? Stop hypocrisy. As a south Indian I feel like foreigner when I visits Delhi and other Hindi belt

i don't know about your incident, but funnily you're trying to justify the attack on innocents by highlighting 'Sikh hoodlums'. white supremacists can attack you too. they don't see the difference between brown people. and what do you mean why blame white people, we're just blaming wade page. you seem to be a sick person

Reality is available in the media. Most likely a case of mistaken identity, and even if not, it does not justify this sort of beating and stoning.
If you know more facts than what is presented in media, request you to present the facts rather than attack Krishna.

you are missing the point. so are you too justifying the attack on innocents. would love to see you say that after you lose your loved ones in an attack like this. Btw, I can assure you Hindoo_Hoodlums have done worse.

Well, I do not understand from where you got the impression that I justified killing of innocents.
It appeared to me that aman gill was trying to downplay or deny the incident, that to me is not justified.
And, lets face it, Indians also behave quite xenophobic. It is prevalent anywhere, when Northie comes to South, or when Southie goes to North, in fact NE people face it almost every where.
Stop wishing for others to lose their loved ones, you seem to wish for innocents to die more than you claim others do.
And lastly, lets not use this forum to single out Northies or Southies, lets first accept that any Indian is likely to expereince some sort of xenophobia in another part of India.

Goto North East and then you will understand why they deserve this treatment. Hindi speaking people are burnt alive in North East. How much news do you see about north east on hindi news channels or english news channels as a result? How many ads have you seen about tourism in north east india except that run by govt. You are unwelcome in NE. I am sure you will know at least one good tourist spot in north, west or south india. But very rarely in NE India.

And every non Delhiite feels like a foreigner when they visit Delhi.
Every UP or Bihari feels like foreigner when they visit Mumbai, Gorkhas feel like foreigners in their own state, NE guys feel like foreigners in India itself.
Just when someone just has a doubt that you are empty inside the skull, you open your mouth and confirm it.

No UP or Bihari feels like a foreigner in Mumbai. There are some people with cheap mentality who resort to hate. Plus the fight is against their cleaniness. They remain so dirty that its difficult to say. They (UP & Biharis) fail to acknowledge decency and resort to cheapness as if they are in their village. For e.g. the way they look at girls. They will surely pass vulgar comments in bhojpuri. And mind you people from UP(East) are the most vulgarist. They would spit everywhere, break laws, fight, indulge in groupisms and try to control you for the nonsense. That is what is irritating and hence the backlash on them. We have been living in mumbai right since 1905 and are from UP as well. Still have relatives all over India and visit them regularly. We've never faced any discrimination from Marathi community. We speak hindi. But have equal respect for their culture and so they all respect us. So if you are a decent human being then Mumbai will accept you. Rest power struggle is happening in every part of the world no matter what language you speak or what is your background.

you are right things can be improved in our mindset and society as well.
but remember we have to condemn any act of racism whether it is against indians or committed by us. Only innocents have to pay the price

You feel like a foreginer in Delhi? Then go somewhere else! In Delhi there are people from all over India, and they feel at home there. There are 4th generation Tamil-speaking families as well, so keep your Indian racism to yourself so you can play the victim in your self-chosen Western exile.

Tuklu is absolutely right
Look at the matrimonial advertisement coulomns
every body wants a white complexioned bride and the fare and lovely ads?
It tells a girl if she is dark skinned she will have no boy friend or bridegroom
And this advertisement features famous film stars
Despite protests from many quarters this ad is not stopped
we are the most hypocrite people in the world.
Semi-literate Superstitious
anti science we have no moral rights to lecture others

The American members of the Sikh community sho uld take upon themselves the task of enlighten ing the USA public the difference between the Muzzies and themselves, especially when these crimes are committed in the name of patriotism.
Or as a mark PRO exercise, they could entrust this job to our filmy fraternity.

Americans are cracks

These Morons who commit hate crimes in the name of Arab or Osama are so dumb that they don't No the difference between a Sikh & Arab. Sikhs are jolly good fellows. Their gurdwara are so peaceful & the community is very disciplined. The Americans should be taught the difference between a Mosque & gurdwara .
