among the PIO community in the US that such hate-crimes are directed only at presumed muzlims!
The PIO community lives in denial of the fact that PIOs are increasingly being seen by common native whites as reprehensible beings from a far off poverty stricken land who come crowding to America in ever increasing numbers to take away their low-end jobs! Common whites have, in recent times, more frequently expressed dismay and anger at the USINS (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) and at the public policy that allow low-end workers from the third world to immigrate in such large numbers each year!
In the coming election year, the two protagonists (Obama and Romney) will spend a great deal of energy, time and money in trying to show to ordinary Americans that they will succeed in ultimately squaring the proverbial circle, i.e., retain the great bulk of American jobs in America while giving no real commitment on prodding any of the American employers to engage higher cost native American labour!
The PIOs might begin to accept these facts only when the resentment of common native whites snowballs into hate-crimes that are much more manifestly against them than ones that can be attempted to be explained away as 'anti-muzlim' !
I remember watching in 1984 when the Indian Army was forced to go into the Golden Temple on orders from Indira Gandhi to fix her mistakes. An honourable institution was forced to fight and kill an hononourable people mixed in with terrorists that were created by the government.
The US flags are flying at half mast everywhere as a sign of respect. Did the Indian flag fly at half mast as a sign of respect for what happened back then?
