army and defence sector has corruption
by Mr Walker on Apr 18, 2012 04:01 PM  | Hide replies

And corruption needs to be rooted out so its okay when media brings this out.

Any institution which has so much corruption loses its sanctity and effectiveness.

The Indian govt. has never used its military properly and hence we have all the issues seen here today.

Mr Walker, I dont know what relation you have with defense but let me tell you, Indian has a history of gr8 sacrifices, time has been testimony when needed our forces has gone beyond the call of duty to defend out honor. That has been possible only because our soldiers are way beyond the money, its truth every one wants money but when time comes money is no longer valued. As per APA (American Psychologist Association) study shows that in any war Indian Soldiers have out performed any other soldier in history, reason is that to sacrifice for duty has always been a matter of pride for Indians. To sacrifice for the nation is in blood of Indians, go and do the research, and stop questioning Indian Soldiers Blood. If you are not Indian then attack India and see what you will get.

Very gud article, true sometimes these journalist jump the gun and start reporting whatever they think is right. In this case it was army and let this nation go to hell, what? we have to improve the TRP rating.
Samtime, if there is an iota of truth in what media reported then our nation security is in grave danger and some very urgent steps has to be taken.
I hope all that media reported is false

Yes; however, another major aspect is the morale of the soldiers of my country. The job being the hardest of all, why the compensation is not so distinct.
We all civilians see the 'Netas' minting money, Babus amassing wealth, even peons are making money, then why shouldn't a soldier be given opportunity to be compensated well. Not though some corrupt opportunities but for at least every mission then participate in i.e.saving people from flood, kids from well, staying in chilliest places of Himalayas and all other heroic jobs they perform. Here "well" doesn't mean some peanuts like like what they get these days, not more then a thousand bucks or may be a little more.
Hope someone really thinks about justice to these poor fellas...Amen!

I have scrolled down and read it ALL. As an ex - AI FORCE guy I will let you into few secrets. I ws a very bright student all thru school...etc etc. I didnt join the armed forces to serve my country...but during my 15 yrs I have never known holi nd diwali and never failed to discharge my duties with sincerity and dedication like the others around me. When I came out and joined the so-called civilian society..I found how we in the armed forces have always been short changed. Right from the pay structures to any facility worth the name...the civilians had it all. the unions are very well entrenched and wrench handsome benefits from the govt. But the saddest thing is the attitude of the civilians all along. The unions here grudge the reservations we get. They always try to get their own men into our quota getting any chance..they cant do that with the SC/ST quota. When we used to travel by trans without reservation at short notice, the TTE will not give the vacant berth to us ever cause it will cause him 'financial' loss. At Amritsar, the capital of the soldiers, a railway reservation clerk asked me extra money cause I wanted a corner seat..yes a seat not a berth. In many places the shop keepers will fleece the soldiers of the Army cause they are gullible...endless stories of RESPECT of the nation paid to the army soldier who never ever hesitates to sacrifice anything and everything. Even in the Air Force we used to salute the ARMY guys. You can never imagine the dedication of th

Media in India is still immature as the news to be highlighted should be decided on the basis of maturity of the people of the country the media belongs to. Indian media lacks this very sense. They proved their idiocity during Hazre circus at Ramlila by making a god out of simple villager, then in case of Ramdev-the greatest thug to have born on this earth. Now in the present case of Armed forces. Though some mistake was there on part of Army chief but major by media. There are many things which should not come out in public.

Indian Army- The Priceless Jewel
by Nagender Yadav on Apr 18, 2012 12:38 PM

No doubt.....Indian Army is a Priceless Jewel. In any circumstances, it is always available for our safety and smile.

I salute to our Army.....the only curse to the Nation are, some policy makers, who sit in the AC rooms and filling their own pockets from the money which should have been invested on our Army.

Thank you-

Nagender Yadav
