Becoming a neighbour of Colonized colony is different from Colonizing - by Indians. Indians, more or less, are transported as workers aka slaves into Colonized colonies to be lackey - loyalists for good for Colonizers - at the expese of Locals.

Indians are good to take the cover of "Covenant Man" - either Britain or USA till today.

On the contrary, his analysis is spot on. For example, diplomatically India has hit sweet spot in Sri Lanka, condemning their Human Rights violations, but steering clear of interference. If they had helped finish Prabhakaran, notwithstanding regional pressure, it would have strengthened their stance.

Buperpower or Superpower?
by Arjun on Apr 02, 2012 08:05 PM  | Hide replies

I dont understand this super power obsession. People who want such status are megalomaniacs not capable of independent thinking. Who defined the term superpower? Who decides what entails superpower nation status? Look at the Nordic countries, they are not superpowers and dont wish to be, but their people have the highest standard of living and are contributing to the world scientific community. Look at Singapore nearby. Seriously this obsession is embarrassing and is similar to naming the Hindi movie industry as Bollywood after Hollywood. Will we also want to name ourselves as Buperpower?

It's a not a question of superpowerhood but one of developing a country's potential to its fullest. And when that happens, a country can become truly powerful and exceeds the power of many other countries in various ways. Wanting to exceed oneself only for the pleasure of exceeding oneself is an idealism and is not easy to practise. Do you do all your work only to get pleasure from it and nothing else? Or also to get money and prestige and perhaps a little bit of fame. In other words, the vital energies of the individual are fully at service only when in pursuit of all these desires.

Similarly, a country works idealistically but also to get power and money etc because that is also what motivates it and propel it forward.

As US diplomat, otherwsie he wold have known that, india is a gandFutt country with ChootiyaLeadership who is most likely busy in making money rather than doing anything meningful for the nation, its a chalta hai nation, MeraBaapKaKyaJataHaiType people.

"
India should have sent its troops back to Sri Lanka to kill or capture Prabhakaran and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam leadership after the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, says a new book by a former US diplomat."
