Madhouse of religions
by Vivek Dev on May 30, 2011 05:25 PM  | Hide replies

Swami Vivekanand said India is madhouse of religions. Actually it is madhouse of religions and ideologies. With hinduism in decline there is very little reason for the bits and pieces of India to stick together.

He told about kerala "lunatic assylum of castes". With the advent of semitic faiths and iseologies such as Marxism Kerala came out of that mould. As far as caste Hindus live in a state of denial, Hinduism dont have any future. It should be refromed alonng buddhist line there should only one varna or caste , people should be able to choose any proffession or way during their life time.
Aplogists of caste system depicts varnashram as division of labour but in practice it has become a stratification of society , this needs to destroyed .
There was News report in Bihar a medical college has 3 mess system 1. Brahmin2. Thakkur 3.Backawrds then imagine about the plight of the common village folks !!!!!!

Swami vivekananda was a great useless product ever born in the land of india, moreover he did nothing but to gave some useless unscientific Utopian thaoghts for Indians, which nobody is following.

And in a survey BBC find the Carl marx was the most influenced personality born in last 2000 years.

Long live Comrade Carl marx

Hi me too believe in communism. Regarding Vivekananda - in 18th Century if a person can say 'read physics and play football instead of reading Geeta' and 'people believe in astrology need psychiatric help' he definitely deserve a hats-off. I think he knew that Indian in 18th century was not ready for concepts like Marxism as the basic was not at all there and we were all stuck into deep, rigid cast-system that is why he suggested to correct the basic.
Please note that both Marx and Vivekananda are among the first few people who could have said that it is about "Globalhood" not about race, class and all.

I too don't support the spirituality angle of Vivekananda and always criticize that but also acknowledge the part that is aligned with modern socio-economy.

good, but dialectical materialism is the base of Marx theory which forced him to write Capital, which is the main reason why the whole world still shivering with the name of Communism, Vivekananda is just a DOT infornt of karl Marx

Religion biggest lie and illusion of the world
by Parichay on May 30, 2011 05:03 PM  | Hide replies

Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions

1) VS is ex CM of Kerala.
2) Bhagat Singh is the complete revolutionary India has ever produced. His life is a teaching to us. India's polity would have changed had he been not hanged. Cong under MKG's leadership did nothing to prevent His hanging. That is why MKG was shown black flags....

Accept your mistake....
by Dulal Das on May 30, 2011 04:59 PM

"...The Catholic Church had made a bad mistake with Galileo when it tried to lay down the law on a question of science, declaring that the sun went around the Earth. Now, centuries later, it had decided it would be better to invite a number of experts to advise it on Cosmology.
At the end of the conference the participants were granted an audience with the pope. He told that it was okay to study the evolution of the universe after the big bang, but we should not inquire into the big bahng itself because that was the moment of creation and therefore the work of God.
I was glad that he did not know the subject of the talk I had just given at the conference. I had no desire to share the fate of Galileo...." - Stephen W. Hawking.
The difference between poor and rich cannot be wiped out by mere religion....It requires study of wealth generated by people and its distribution to themselves...
Let the religion be at individual's helm. There are crores of people who do not follow any religion but serves human/spciety without any personal interest.
