it is shmeful not to accept fault
by balajikumar pasumarthi on May 18, 2011 10:55 AM

karath has done enough bad work to his party and he wants to damage further,so that his party will not appear in indian politics thanks to his & his wife ides i hope in near future under the leader ship of mr& mrs karath will close the indian party offices and go home peacefully. Because of these kind of politicians congress able encash their weeknesses and able to run the government for the past 60years though they are most corrupted party in the world, without a single strong opposition.

Basant Bharati
Still brimming with arrogance
by Basant Bharati on May 18, 2011 10:50 AM

Quote
Do you take moral responsibility for the electoral loss?

This issue does not arise in our party.
Unquote.

This is his personal view because he does not want to quit.

It is a convention for any party for the person in helm to take the moral responsibility for any major election upset and to resign from the post. He can continue to work to solve the upset and then revive the post.

It is not a small reversal.A rule of 34 years has been thrown out.He must step down.

He has not admitted any kind of regret on any issue. With this kind of arrogance, if he is allowed to continue, it is difficult for the party to come back.

No indidual should be above the organisation. After all it is not Congress, mind you.

Disperse the politburo
by Rozario on May 18, 2011 10:49 AM

The main problem with the CPM Politburo is its composition. Some people never utter even a single word in the meetings. There are some uneducated and worthless members in the forum. There should only be six members who can take stern decision and implement it, instead what happening now is they are dancing the tune of the state committees and state leaders. It is high time that Prakash Karat should step down as Secretary.

No, they are incapable of learning
by Haridas Shenoy on May 18, 2011 10:47 AM

They were given an opportunity. They messed it up. They messed it up in Russia too.

To everybody, including them, power seems to be important. Service is secondary and optional.
