time to rethink
by sethu kaliyur on May 06, 2011 02:58 PM

pakistan has been receiving billions of dollars from US in the name of aid.but it has been using all this money to propagate terrorism and destabilise the region on the one hand and befriend china and increase its military power on the other hand.aid to pakistan must be stopped immediately otherwise that day is not far off when the extrimists shall take control of pakistan and its nuclear weapons and proliferate it illegally to all terrorist groups across the globe.its high time pakistan must be brought down to its knees.

Eliminate ISI top brass!
by B M on May 06, 2011 02:53 PM

Terrorism can be better controlled if USA eliminate the top brass in ISI one by one rather than eliminating the terrorists. ISI is the root cause of the terror in south Asia. If ISI leadership is destroyed, their coordination in supporting terrorism will be greatly affected.

Pak did not blame RAW?
by B M on May 06, 2011 02:50 PM

A bit surprising that Pakistan has not tried to blame RAW for this embaressment! Perhaps they could have made a statement that it was RAW who kept Osama in Pakistan to get them in trouble.

Forget them if we cannot tame them

I think it is better for India to just ignore pakistan's woes. The people too:contrary to some perceptions: are more religion and therefore jihad centric and are making things worse for themselves. The same mentality and anti India Kashmir centric mentality of the army and the administration compounds its problems. Rather than fuel needless rhetoric and war of words, the best India can do is to totally ignore their bombast: we know we are in no position to tame them: just forget them and treat them as a painful neighbour. Trade alone is enough for these guys, no amount of other measures are going to help.

K Subrahmanyam used to say we should seal our borders and let them stew in their own juice. Why not try it out?

It is not the religion which needs to be blamed. Instead it is the wrong understanding of what has been prescribed. These kind of evils will continue to pose a threat. What needs to be done is only to beef up the security systems so that they dont affect us

you are no less religion centric than them, same argumet can be used against VHP,and others. Misuse of religious thoughts is not the fault of religious tenets. Ours or theirs.
