If last 30 years of Communist rule was hell for Bengalis, they are in for worser days if Didi comes to power.
1) Commies make a very sour opposition. They will do everything to see that state administration is impotent. There will be hartals, bandhs, agitation whether it demands attention or not. The common man will suffer.
2) Didi is one of the worst administrators in the country. She may make a good opposition leader, but lady lacks clear wisdom and experience. Being a firebrand politician is one thing, and ruling a state with sense and sensibilities is another. She made the worst Railways minister in recent times.
3) I am sure that even if she pulls thru, the Communist will bounce back in next term.

If she pulls through, agreed she MAY not stay if incompetent; but does that means Communists will return??? Think not!

WB has become WASTE BENGAL anyway. If Buddha comes back, it will become WASTED BENGAL.
With Mamata coming, the result is to be seen. Anyone can speculate anything, but chances are more that she will do better than CPI(M) unless Buddhadev and his cadres oppose every move with violence.
The CPI(M) cadres posting here may think otherwise because they are sleeping.

Mamata is going to be the worst CM in the history of independent India across all states! There is no need to be a commie to call her out as a pathetic excuse for a leader. She is incompetent, uncouth and inept.

So nothing's gonna be new if your speculations are correct.
The last competent CM of WB was Dr. B.C. Roy and he will remain the last one till next century, right?
We had SS Ray, Jyot Bose, Buddha dev as the other incompetent, uncouth and inept CMs and they are the realities the people of WB faced till now. So no harm if they try an alternative this time. At worst the result could be same.

But, Joy, my friend, i am not speculating. I am stating what you know is true. Currently WB lacks a good leader and capable administrator. No one from the Left or Right fits the bill.

numerous stone laid ceremonies by the Rly.Minister with crores spend on advt.but yet to see the daylight, around two lacs post is vacant in rlys. but in her tenure of 2.5 years she had not filled up those,we all of have to think what she will do?
Mamota will win the race and will form the goverment in Bengal. It proves that no povertry prevailing in West Bengal and the communist removed this. They should feel happy as they done this!!!!!!
Scams and Rampant Corruption by UPA ministers and their cronies will be a deciding factor in West Bengal Election. The big question is if Mamata can not run Indian Railway then how can she can run West Bengal as CM. Everything now depends on the tricks of EVM.
All the best to the CPI-M and the left front. Any government is better than the Congress party Government--TRINAMOOL and THE Indian national Congress. they are the birds of the same feathers. The NATIONAL MOTTO SHOULD BE "ABC". ANYBODY BUT CONGRESS.
What matters for congis is that they remain in power at the CENTER! Allowing other parties in states is OK since anyway they get controlled using the congi governor, funding requirement from the center and CBI!
It may be possible - but not for the CPM, but for the Trinamool. The reasons are:
1 - The mismanagement of Railway ministry under Mamata.
2 - The slipshod activities of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, now under Trinamool (Mamata's promise that Kolkata will be London has not materialised!)
3 - The disenchantment of the rural folks with Trinamool after seeing the businesses of Trinamool-ruled Panchayats.
4 - The impact of Mamata's silence over the gigantic corruptions in the Manmohan regime
5 - The sudden realisation of the people of Kolkata that the city may well go back to the nightmarish days of the 70s when - under the Congress rule - women and girls could not venture out till late in the evening
6 - The tantrums of Mamata.
However, even if CPM does return in this time, that will NOT be due to their credit, but for the people's anathema for the Congress, Trinamool and Mamata.
