On one hand preaces nuclear non prolifiration and had banned india for its share of technology and it self uses it under the name of electricity every year an earthquake rocks and see the height of there vertical growth only fools challenge nature if they were so advanced there wont have been these many casualties
Lastly they are in trouble with regards to their self created nuclear plants and do not want any help to dose it
Yes you should be proud but not arrogant blaming foriegners wont help for that you should take care of them then talk about them
Blah! Blah! Blah! Entire writeup is useless it does not convey anything at all. When the quake was 8.9 he keeps saying it was 6. When they are calm in face of earth quakes why will they run to cleanup groceries. When the groceries are supplied through vending machines why are they angry that the machines are still working. It is funny to say he is surprised at the reaction of Indian engineers. Mr.Bhatt should understand that it is not their country and in case of an emergency no one is going to lend them any thing asd they would to their neighbor.
This is totally untrue that Japanese people did not leave the place in panic. Many people has left the Kanto region and residing in the Kansai region, just because of panic.
Indians have left, but under what condition? On 15-16th march, even TEPCO workers left the nuclear site. NRI people have the tendency to show down Indians. You can not move out so you dont move. When TEPCO workers moved out, why???
Were they enjoying Sushi????
Japanese are also humans like Indians, they are more accoustomed to such situations but they are also very much in panic now.
Thank you Mr Parmesh Bhat. It's indeed heartening to learn how Japan has coped up with such a natural calamity. What an amazing country and brave people. I guess it's basically the collective attitude that is ingrained in their psyche because of their culture. I wish we Indians could learn a lot from the people of Japan. Be it patriotism, or thrift, or dedication. We all must wish the country and its people overcome the disaster as quickly as possible. May God be with them.

There is no doubt Japan is one of the most technologically / financially advanced country in world but I fail to understand why did they make so many atomic power plants knowing well, whole country comes under seismic belt. Lack of coal may be a factor. Any explanation ? Alok Bhattacharya

The same question has been asked in a pannel discussion in BBC. I happen to see that discussion. According to the experts Japan has very limited resources. The kind of power consumption they required that cant be full fill by natural way of power generation through water, sloar and air. So they have to be dependent on Nuclear Reactors and thats the reason why there are so many nuclear reactors in Japan. Though every country takes hell lot of Security Measures while deploying the setup and the backup plans in case of failure but the same cant be tested for a natural disaster because you can create a natural disaster in a laboratory for the same. And thats what Japanes are facing the problem now.
