Spreading awarenss against corruption
by DeeBee on Mar 02, 2011 11:54 PM  | Hide replies

Today most people who participate in these forums are aware of the corruptness of all our politicians. But there are three critical factors that need to be taken into consideration.
1. Self cleanliness
2. Voting for right candidate
3. Spreading the awareness to people who "matter"
1. Self Cleanliness - I chose those words deliberately. It means that being transparent and true in all our transactions. Not involve in Blanc and White transactions. Ensuring that the environment that we live in is clean pollution free. If each one of us do not follow this then there will be "someone else" who will come to power and do the same thing. We have to remember that the politicians come from within our society.
2. Voting for right candidate - We all need to vote for the right candidate and not look at the party. We need to ask any candidate who comes to our home asking for votes as to what he or she has contributed to make our area a better place to live in. Declare assets of his/her entire family. What are the plans that the person has to make the area (constituency) a better place to live in and better opportunities for the people. When the time comes to vote we should vote for the right candidate
3. Spreading the awareness to people who "matter" - We all know that the politicians take advantage of poor people and fool them to get votes. We need to spread the awareness among the housemaids, the sweepers

Don't be stupid. Act and behave smartly. Are you (or me) saint? The answer is no, but it does not mean that there is no difference between you (or me) and Raja (or other corrupt Congress politicians).

if you read carefully, piyush is right. nobody has the right to be impolite to anybody whether or not he/she addressed to is senior/authoritative figure. and who gave you the right to abuse others? have you also learnt the other language like raja?

"It is not addressed to any ordinary person but a senior person, who is a prime minister,"
In other words, the Supreme court says that such language can be addressed to ordinary persons but not the Prime Minister who is extraordinary.Ordinary persons like you and me can be insulted.

2G & Raja
by Ashwin on Mar 02, 2011 10:50 PM

What a great Supreme Court & even GREATER PRIME MINISTER we have in India. The Supreme Court is questioning Raja after 3 yrs & ABOVE ALL THE PM WAS SLEEPING ALL THESE 3 YEARS HAPPILY TO WATCH THE FUN & WAKE UP (IF NECESSARY) WHEN ANY PROBLEM ARISES. NOW PROMPTLY OUR PM HAS WOKEN UP & EVERY ONE ELSE HAS WOKEN UP. Now lets do some repair work. What a great Country. WHY CANT THEY SUBJECT RAJA TO LIE DETECTOR TEST THAN ASK USELESS QUESTIONS WHICH WILL NOT PRODUCE ANY RESULT NOR BRING OUT ANY OF THE CULPRITS. TODAY'S NEWS IS, RAJA'S WIFE HAS INVESTMENTS/ACCOUNTS IN MAURITIUS ETC. CAN ANYONE, INCLUDING PM, PRESIDENT OR SUPREME COURT MOVE EVEN SINGLE HAIR OF RAJA? LETS SEE. INDIA WILL SPEND TWO LAK CRORES ON RAJA'S 1,76,000 CRORE 2G SPECTRUM SCAM & BY THE TIME ANY RESULT OR NAMES COME OUT, PRESENT GENERATION WILL DIE OF HUNGER. THATS WHAT OUR GOVT WANTS. ALL THE BEST.

I find of late that the SC has become a school teaching kind of an outfit and their tone and intent do not show the serious nature of their position, as what they need to do is to keep the constitutional propriety high and formost and not silly points like this
