Mafia
by swetambar on Jun 12, 2011 07:35 PM

Congress is operating like a mafia, using the polical goons to curb the peoples voice. They are trying to influence the judiciary, CBI and several institutions to suppress the upsurge of voice against the corruption and inaction

Unelected, weakest PM, most corrupt govt we ever had
by Ram Sharma on Jun 12, 2011 03:59 PM

MMS is the only PM unelected to Loksabha (others got elected within 6 months, if they were not aleady elected). He is weakest PM we ever had, being remote controlled by Sonia Parivar. UPA is also the most corrupt govt we ever had since 1947.

movement
by CV harish on Jun 12, 2011 03:37 PM

what we need is a Unionist movement that is above party politics, above sectarianism, above all these things – a movement that can provide a vision for this nation again that will lift it out of the morass in which it finds itself now. We need a movement.a movement that will recognize, identify and educate the people on the dangers that are already besetting us.

democracy
by CV harish on Jun 12, 2011 03:32 PM

it seems to me that ‘government of the people’ means that it is their possession. It does not belong to anyone else – any caucus, any clique, any claque, any faction, any group – it belongs to them all. ‘Government by the people’ means that it is participatory, it is interactive, or it does not work. It is not a formality, a charade, a posture, a piece of theatre put on every four or five years just to fulfil some sort of formula. Democracy is not a format. It takes place all the time, every day, every week, every month, between the governors and the governed. ‘For the people’ means that the end beneficiary of good, democratic government must be the people – the entire people, not a caucus of bankers or a group of financiers, or the tycoons, or the multimillionaires, or the politicians or the bureaucrats.

Thanks Rediff

Thanks redif to bring out this kind of healthy discussion. I was expecting Congress a healthy part for India but now it's clear that they never want India and Indian people to develop. So everytime they make a president and prime minister a very week so they never come up with dashing solution of the real problem of education and food and corruption. Their utmost worry is how to keep chair with them like a Ruler. I was expecting sonia Gandhi may change the JEE HUZOORI inside Congress. But she is painted herself in very Indian politics way. She don't have any such knowledge of politics and development. We bound to do fast development but she never come up with big idia solution and implementation. Sone pe suhaga Rahul. He is utmost fool. He talked about laticharge at noida but he never come to speak about lathi charge at baba's pupil. So Congress has a dual policy for them. I ashamed that i trust on Manmohan but he is not manmohan, actually he is Deshdohan Singh

Deserving Gentleman and an able PM....

Lets be positive. And corruption is not the only happening in our country.
Firlsy Mr Manmohan Singh guided the country out of a financial mess as a Finance Minister in the 90s we should remember this point.
Now being the PM for 7 continuous years he has guided the country and brought many laurels for the country. And our country has seen a lot of development during this time.
Corruption is not the only yardstick to judge him and belittle him.He had the guts to kick out the corrupt and order an inquiry against the corrupt ministers and officials.
He is doing his best, lets try to remove this demon of corruption from each on of us because that is the only solution honestly if we pause and think.

It was not MMS who guided from the financial mess created by their own party in 50 years. The original Architect was PVN. MMS only did the job asked to do like a clerk. BTW economic reforms was first implemented by China before India.

Somebody please make an investigation into Rediff's Bank
by Pat Thakur on Jun 12, 2011 03:13 PM

Must be overflowing with regular deposits being done from 10 Janpath, PMO, Kangress HQ etc for the perennial paid journalism being done for it (we see any number of articles everyday like this one with pictures of only Sonia, Manmohan, Rahul, Dickvijay etc, even if sometimes the subject is pertaining to BJP or others.)

Leader?
by Manoj Gupta on Jun 12, 2011 03:11 PM

The current Prime Minister is the worst thing that could have happened to India.

India doesn't just need and honest PM, it also needs a PM who has guts to keep other honest. It just does not need a PM who can beg for peace, it needs a PM who is ready to lead in a war.

To the general public, the current Prime Minister looks like one who is not a leader but a compliant follower. That's the most unfortunate thing to have happened to the billion people of this country.
