Please take a note that Digvijay is more interested in Saffron as there is no chance in Congress coming back to power. Hence he is doing PhD in Saffron by going as early as 1900 and of late there is no significant findings of Congress doings from his Oral dioreah

The first mention of two nation theory appears to be by one Rahmat Ali on 28 January 1933 in London who appears to have been forgotten in this post.

Partially Correct

I think Digvijay's statement is only partially corect.

Savarkar propounded the two-nation theory -- WITH A DIVISIVE AGENDA -- a good three years before Jinnah popularised it.

But the origin of the theory is of higher antiquity. It was Sir Syed Ahmed of the Aligarh Muslim University fame who first propunded the two-nation theory in the 19th century. Only that he did not see this as disruptive to the subcontinent.

"India is like a newly wed bride and Hindus and Musalmans are her two beautiful eyes..." Sir Syed had said. But unfortunately he had laid the foundations of India's partition.

But the fact that Dig Vijay is hinting that Nehru actually actioned the original thoughts of a Hindu Mahasabha leader might be the olive branch Kaangress is trying to extend towards the BJP to garner support in the future... :)

What is the big deal with a one nation theory that is the biggest lie after the flat earth theory?
