Tunisias problem is too familiar
by Suresh Menon on Jan 27, 2011 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

"In Tunisia, protesters want the entire old leadership to be removed, arrested and prosecuted lock, stock and barrel and their illegally-acquired wealth parked in secret bank accounts abroad to be brought back. "

Sounds too familiar to us? Is this not our problem as well? The money our politicians and leaders have siphoned off and stacked in swiss accounts may be enough to buy 10 Tunisias.

But still we are happy - Chalta Hai.

ethinic cleansing
by Anil Mohod on Jan 27, 2011 07:08 PM  | Hide replies

400,000 Kashmiri Pandits, constituting 99% of the total population of Hindus living in Muslim majority area of the Kashmir Valley, were forcibly pushed out of the Valley by Muslim terrorists, trained in Pakistan, since the end of 1989. They have been forced to live the life of exiles in their own country, outside their homeland, by unleashing a systematic campaign of terror, murder, loot and arson.
Genocide of Kashmiri Pandits has reached its climax with Muslim terrorism succeeding in 'CLEANSING' the valley of this ancient ethno-religious community.
With the completion of 11th year of their forced exile, this peace loving, culturally rich community with a history of more than 5000 years, is fighting a grim battle to save itself from becoming extinct as a distinct race and culture

If revolted, Kasmir will burn again
by Rajan Sodankur on Jan 27, 2011 06:48 PM  | Hide replies

Jammu would blockade once again Kasmir, the idiotic protestors and their mullahs would face starvation deaths along with their families.Stone pelting misguided youth would spoil the entire next generation as no right thinking western nation or Russia would ever support their protests (except China, which is yet to burn its fimngers with extreme islamists). They would remian illiterate, die like worms and their assets would pass over to right thinking law abiding and patient Kasmiris.

West will pay for it dearly
by Rajan Sodankur on Jan 27, 2011 06:42 PM  | Hide replies

Western democracy and affluence, liberal and wasteful lifestyles are sustained thru intimidation, blackmailing poorer nations, propping up of dictatorial regimes elsewhere where suppression of human rights is prevalent , plundering of natural riches from countries ruled by their puppets. The collapse of these dominat societies are sure to follow with the collapse of their puppet regimes in mid-East and elsewhere. The bully governments will pay dearly with blood and money for their sins, bay falling victims to Islamic fundamentalists, especially homegrown ones. They would have to fight enemies outside and enemies within.Add to their woes the natural calamities. You would see a world war III of different kind now. Russia is learning its lessons now of having supported communist regimes elsewhere, puppet rule in Afghanistan earlier. When will the west learn its histirc lessons?

by Niraj Prasad on Jan 27, 2011 06:39 PM  | Hide replies

protests in tunisia (or arab world) were to overthrow authoritarianism (at least that was the aim of the people, some autocrats may hijack power later) ... kashmir already has a democracy. so if there are protests it will be to install authoritarianism and that too of the worst kind -- islamic authoritarianism. most funny !!!

that is why kashmiris are 10 steps behind rest of the world.
