Protests Without Any Religious Colour
by Balan Iyer on Jan 27, 2011 04:37 PM

Muslim Countries like Egypt and Algeria go by
Secular Credentials and the mass protests swee
ping across them are targetting their corrupt
leaderships who refuse to address the problems of the masses like Unemployment,Hoarding of
Large Amounts of Cash in Swiss Banks etc.If this finds any impact in Jammu and Kashmir, then
why we regret? The masses and their leadership
would call a new tune, without giving it the
Usual Religious Colour, saying they do not want to be a part of corrupt India, citing the inst
ances of Suresh Kalmadi,Raja,Bofors,Lalit Modi.
Our corrupt Government,BJP or Cong,must have a
change of Heart.

The beginning of the end for the Kangress
by Chris on Jan 27, 2011 04:29 PM  | Hide replies

During WW-2, those people who had willingly jumped on to the bandwagon of the Dictator of the Day, Adolf Hitler, were unceremoniously hanged by the victorious Allies, on charges of being Nazi sympathizers, after the Nuremberg trials.

Those who had listened to the Voice of the their Conscience and had refused to dance along with the Dictator, were spared by the Allies.

There is a grave lesson here for those Indians who would get caught up in the garbage politics of the Kangress.

When the People of India decide that enough is enough, and throw out the mediocre Kangress Government, the feeble-minded ones that danced along with the Kangress will be looked upon in an unfavourable light.

Those who remain consistent at all times, abiding by their conscience, and remaining aloof from the Dictator of the Day, will gain the respect of the People.

In Jammu and Kashmir Hindus are minorities
by SHS on Jan 27, 2011 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

In Jammu and Kashmir Hindus are minorities, but they don't have any right. All belong in General Category, they don't have any reservations. Hindus in Jammu are paying their taxes, bills (electricity and water) but in Kashmir no one is paying and tax and bills. They are enjoying free utilities and life. Enjoying luxurious life earning well by selling their stuff to us Indian and singing song of “AZADI”
In Kashmir Sikhs were representing as a Hindu presence, but now look they are also now facing the threat, even they were threaten before but never touched few years before there was massacre of around 40 sikhs in valley that was the one of the biggest attack to the community. Now let’s see what is going to happen, ether they will also move out of Kashmir like Hindus to save their life.
This all is because of support of Huriyat and our government who is giving them too much of importance, our centre government is doing all for the Kashmiri muslims, they never thought of Kashmiri Hindus who have left the valley 20years ago. Government is giving jobs to muslims and Hindus (both Kashmir and Jammu) are movie out because for them there is no job and no reservation.
It’s sad that being as a minority they don’t have any rights.

For a Muslim to live in a non-Muslim dominated society
by SHS on Jan 27, 2011 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

For a Muslim to live in a non-Muslim dominated society," so Gilani claimed, "is as difficult as it is for a fish out of water."
As he interpreted it, Islam could not countenance the Kashmiri Muslims living with India. Islam, he went on, demanded that the Kashmiri Muslims continue to struggle for separation from non-Muslim-dominated India and to set up what he called an Islamic state.

According to the assessment made by the income-tax department, Geelani's monthly expenditure allegedly ranged from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh, as he had 15 servants at his house and his wife had confirmed that she used to get Rs 25,000 per month for kitchen expenses. A diamond-studded watch gifted by the Pakistan government. The department had raided Geelani's house and other places of his kin on June 9, 2002, and seized Rs 10.2 lakh and 10,000 US dollars in cash, vouchers showing purchase of substantial amount of jewellery, and a diamond-encrusted watch inscribed with 'From Pakistan Government', besides documents pertaining to purchase of property and vehicles.

Fall out of globalization
by atrueIndian on Jan 27, 2011 04:13 PM  | Hide replies

Economies needs some restrictions somewhere.Unrestricted capitalism leads to such problems. If we look at Indian scenario, corruption at all level have risen leaps and bound. Most of the ruling parties in different states of India are highly corrupted. Time is not far when such an rebellion will erupt in India too.

no such rebellion will happen in india as india is on the path of growth.even though there are major issues like corruption, inflation but it does not stop the life of aam aadmi.

Only if like in tunisia there is largescale unempoyment then only something like this can happen.

Why do you think so? Is Lal Chowk is outside India? Or our National flag has done any sin that it can't be hoisted at Lal Chowk?

Why you are feeling upset about it. If you are an Indian citizen, they you must support our National flag at Lal Chowk. Otherwise, you are talking on a wrong forum.

The reason is that(debates on TV channels ) except for one Muslim Leader(Naqwi) all others were against hoisting our National flag at Lal Chowk expressing a countrywide disturbance would erupt. One of them went extent of saying that India will have another partition of the country.

Recite after me, all together now :
by Chris on Jan 27, 2011 04:10 PM  | Hide replies

Tragic Comedy : MMS, Madam and the Klown-Prince of Italy

There once was an "Economics-Genius" named MMS
Who was servile to Famiglia-Maino in excess
He lost sleep when the man held in Oz
Turned out to be an Indian Moz
EVMs, CEC & Vote-banks gave him election-success.

There once was a lady named Antonia
Who fancied herself Queen of India
She could barely speak Hindi
Yet claimed to be a Gandhi
Which made Indians forget she was a Phony-ia

There once was a lad named Raoul Maino
Who was less Indian and more Italiano
He never studied or worked at a job
For he had the backing of the Eyetalian-Mob
And his Bofors-Billions safe with Uncle Ottavio
