Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes
by nitmohan on Dec 10, 2011 08:59 PM

Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes due to this turmoil and thousands were killed. Some put the present figure of the number of exiled Kashmiri Pandits at 7.5 lakh. No commission or probe has focused on ethnic cleansing and the genocide of minority Pandits, which led to their exodus from the valley. Moreover, the persecutors are roaming free in Kashmir.

who cries for victims of this fascist Congi govt?

Rajbala dies: victim of fascist congress government.

she was critically injured in the unprovoked attack on swami ramdev's followers in june.

but then she's a hindu, so it's her duty to die. the government of india does not care.

now, if it had been a desh drohi like that painter the story would be entirely different.

Take a minute to reflect on this, before the next orgy of cricket commences at your expense.

We do not any American or British in this matter
by Dipak Bose on Jun 30, 2011 04:25 PM

In 1947 if there could be an full scale Exchange of Population between India and Pakistan( created exclusively for the Muslims) J&K problem could not have arised.

J&K should be partitioned depending on the demographic characteristics of J&K as it used to be in 1947.

Before that all Muslims must leave India for Pakistan and Bangladesh; all non-Muslims would come to India.

This is the only solution.

American or British only want to satisfy their favourite Pakistan; they should not poke their nose in this matter.

Kashmir is no issue !!
by Ravi Kant on Mar 28, 2011 01:39 PM

Its a closed chapter. Pak has no role to play. They must stop sending/supporting/sheltering terrorists into Kashmir. Pak is a rogue State & it has not reconciled to losing B'desh & hence harping on taking away Kashmir. It will never happen. Let Kashmiris who like Pak go to other side. Mullahs have started killing mullahs every where in mid east; Egypt to Libys to Bahrain, Yemen, Syria etc. etc & finally it would be Saudi Arabia.

We should send Rediff owners to Pakistan as their Honorary Citizens. They can continue their tirade from Lahore. I am ready to switch to Gmail.

Kashmir Solution with a Problem
by ali shahanshah on Jan 19, 2011 09:10 AM  | Hide replies

Too much has been given to the Kashmiris in terms of aid and development!yet they feel more comfortable with our neighbour. The real battle is between the haves and the have nots! The Abdullahs nor the Mehboobas or the Soz,s or Geelanis can cure this malady.people want to be employed gainfully the only industry functioning is that of tourism and carpets selling. There are no power plants ,heavy industries, or any thing which is being manufactured so that a sizeable number of people can be employed! If this is not on the agenda of the Kashmiri leaders then they must choose someone from the common man to carry out their dreams of a developing Kashmir!

LET WE HEAR DR. AMBEDKER NOW
by JOHN BHATIA on Jan 17, 2011 11:58 PM  | Hide replies

Dr. Ambedker, the father of our Constitution has wisely adviced Nehru and Congress to divide the Kashmir in 3 parts, Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir and hand over Kashmir to Pakistan. He was so sure about his opinion, he resigned from Congress on this matter. It was 1948. yes after more than 62 years, his opinion was 100% correct. We could have saved more than million human beings and billion of dollars accepting his advice. But still it is not too late, we can correct our mistake. India and Pakistan has gained nothing but bitterness, wars, killings and hatred keeping Kashmir issue alive. Let we stand up to correct our mistake.

John: you are telling the whole truth. Ambedkar asked for an Exchange of Population between Pakistan and Hindustan ( Read his book ). Without that why should India give up the whole of Kashmir when Pakistan has already occupied 35 percent of the former Jammu & Kashmir?

India Pakistan relationships
by raman govindan on Jan 16, 2011 12:55 PM

Pakistani ruling class, the army, the fuedal and the upper classes has taken upon them as the torch bearers of mughal empire. they had not reconciled to the loss of empire and the privileged position they had in the subcontinent's society. it is clearly visible if one goes through their writing, pronouncement, uttering, attitude and actions before and after independence.

India may surpass the Britain in GDP and other parameters that determine the status, in the community of nations after a few deacdes or at best a century a later. but it is not wailing on the fact, they had ruled over major part of the subcontinent for around 200 years. they are taking it on stride.

But Pakistan is a neighbour and it does damage it's pride when India overtakes it and is able to stand on it's own, and stays as more prosperous, healthier democracy. and progresses on right track.

neighbour's envy and national pride acts on it to inconvenience India in every regard. the Kashmir is is one such case.

we cannot help them in any respect.

no gestures are needed or to be supplemented with outreach to Pakistan. they are futile. the ball is in Pakistani court.

Where is Pakistan?
by Shabuddin Kamal on Jan 16, 2011 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

Pakistan is a fading country which is barely breathing as it is being throttled by the zeolots. What India should be worring about the fallout of a failed state with nuclear weapons. There is no pak left in Pakistan. Any time with in a decade atmost it is going to spin out of control. So who will move in? It is most like likely China will move in. But India shoulkd be ready to take control of it. Most likely the punjab provice will be willing to merge with India. The tribal belt will be with Afgan if they are strong. The rest will be controlled by UN with China being major player. There is no future for Kashmir on its own in such eventuality but be with India.
