The suppliers will only know how much bribe they had to shell out to the defence personnel (purchases) for procuring the order, supplying and receiving the payment for the supplies.

In India if you have show your talent you have to bribe and show that. Be it in sports, education, research etc.

"A MAJOR MILITARY AVIATION MILESTONE, INDIA'S HOME GROWN LCA - with American Engine and 30 years of research. Recently we saw a picture of F -22 American Fighter Aircraft costing $ around $ 6 Billion. I am not blaming our scientists, but our shameless politicians.

Dear "Ramdev Baba",

I think you are forgetting that this is not a heavy or multirole aircraft, hence wont't have much space for Ammo (read missiles and bombs), it will only have fixed ammunition i.e. cannons and some air to air missiles.

Warm regards,
Bhushan

Dear Ravi,

It might be late, but at least we will be having our own indeginiously designed aircrafts unlike most other developing countries, especially Pakistan. Also, this will highly counter the regional threat from both China & Pakistan. It was delayed because of the sanctions that US had put on us.

Warm Regards,

Tendency
by Raghu Rangaswamy on Jan 11, 2011 10:05 AM

This is the tendency to deprecae Indian efforts. In the seventies people were sceptical about Indian built Gnat fighters. But because of its light weight the Gnats comprehensively defeated American built, then latest Pakistani aircrafts in the 1971 war. This was unexpected by our own airforce at that time.
