Anant Pai's contribution to Indian children's literature and education is collossal. This is a big loss. I just hope that the current generation continues to enrich themselves with his work through the modern mediums. I would still like to hold the colorful books in my hand though! Rest in peace.
Uncle Pai deserves a Bharat Ratna at the least. The Amar Chitra katha gave to children the knowledge of our glorious history, which the NCERT text books tried to hide and tweak. It is this grouse against him that the leftists and Congress govt. had against him, that they even failed to recognize his contribution. Shame on the Congress and its leftist cohorts which out to downgrade and tweak Indian history. India needs many more Uncle Pai's to continue his legacy and defeat the wicked ambitions of the left and the congress to alter Indian history.

JNU is the agency who is doing Congii and Leftist work of distorting Indian history...All the Indian history books from JNU are a pack of lies where only Congii leaders are praised and allocated pages while grt men like Bose WHO SPEND HIS WHOLE LIFE FIGHTING the British where given only Paragraphs mention just because his ideology was different to Gandhi.Shame on Congress/JNU...........In order to push Sickularism down the throat of Majority they Sickularised Indian History...........Where there is no mention of the atrocities committed against the Majority by the Minority starting from the reign of Mughals........Shame on these Vermins who are teaching the children false history.

Anybody who raises voice against the peaceful Minority is a Fascist for u Idiot, why don't u blast urself and attain virgins in heaven......U would be doing a grt service to Humanity.
There is nothing to add as praise for this great man, because that will never be enough. What I find most heartening is the comments by rediff users, all so beautiful, sensible and nice and heartfelt. That shows how he influenced us all in a very positive way and surely he succeeded to a great extent in his mission. Hats off SIRE!
Despite his contribution to educate India's young minds through ACK and Tinkle, the GOI never ever felt the need to recognize him. GOI gave the Padma awards to Dalal journalists like Barkha Dutt and Rajdeep Sardesai but found Uncle Pai's contribution wanting. Unless Congress is kicked out genuine contributors will never be recognized in this country.
