What is Derogatory ???
by Rahul maya on Dec 24, 2011 04:30 PM  | Hide replies

How does one define, judge what content on Websites are obscene or Derogatory. If by Congress and UPA2 standrads its all about their politicians and Leaders, then its all about selective targetting and pick and choose policy, becoz besides those that are supposedly offensive to the ruling dispensation, then there are many obscene and derogatory contents uploaded on many websites. When these were on display Why was Congress and UPA 2 Govt doing about those contents other than to look the other way.

When a so called famous painter paints certain religious icons in a derogatory way then it is okay. The courts said it is freedom of expression.

See the double standards now.

Shocking.

The jails are filled with under trails. The supreme court orders to distribute wheat but the minister laughs. There are a lot of instances we found hatred between religious groups because of our govt reservation theory. The defamatory speech is like kolaveri di

What is meant by derogatory and who will decide it? Some very general comment is blocked if it is against a particular individual or party and even a very defamatory remark is not blocked by the same site. And all know what I mean.

Theese people have sold their conscience to Money and for them power at any cost is what Life should be aimed at. They are congress paid workers who are trying to defend all corrupt people and malign and tarnish the image of Team Anna and Baba Ramdev. Wondering, what human values these people have. Do they ever realise before coming on TV Channel how they are battering their public image and doing damage to the brand of their organisation. They tell lie openly and blatently without any thoughts how it might be affecting Humanity in large. Shame on thise guys.
How demeaned and disgraceful these above persons are.
The above persons have supported Govt on this front as well. This exposes their true colour and character.

It means anybody that writes in favour of the current government, congress, muslims, christians and so on, would find his or her name in such a list. Only BJP, RSS and their supporters are free to write in the media or comment on TV. Those abusing Sonia and Rahul would be honoured.

Barkha Dutt was trying to prove her points that she is not against this movement but her body language shows all that how she works at the instance and orders of Govt. This is all for retaining her position and enjoying luxury.

Court must have also decided what is derogatory, if criticising the PM of the country or any other political leader is considered derogatory then there is no meaning of freedom of speech. I admit while criticising anyone the basic civility has to be there. But still this verdict may be manipulated by politicians and bureacrats for suppressing the criticism.

Argumentative Indian
Re: Re: Re: Re: strange
by Argumentative Indian on Dec 24, 2011 03:53 PM
One of India's greatest problems is too much of respect. Respect for elders, respect for elected politicians, respect for religion, respect, respect.

In all this, we have long ago forgotten to respect free thought. To respect the right to challenge. To challenge our very own parents, our beliefs, to challnege everything.

At the end of the day, all progress is the result of challenge.

I think we are all aware of a religion where it is blasphemy to challenge. We are also aware of the progress achieved by the followers of this religion.
