Gita not only promotes caste, it promotes killing also. I am atheist and I read Gita. To any non-hindu it will read like this. Its a Book where Krishana is telling Arjuna.. You didn't get any property, go ahead kill everybody whoever comes between you and your property, your brothers, grandparents, teachers. Arjuna didn't do this to for the benefit of common folks but for property for themselves. they call it dharma.. No wonder its being banned in Russia.

Non-sense. Caste discrimination is the problem and not the caste.
Humans always classify and group themselves. Be it professional, food, nationality and so on. Nothing wrong with forming groups and associaitions. What is wrong is one group claiming superiority over others. Even without caste, In India, people will discriminate based on religion, language, state etc.. Remember how Biharis are treated in Mumbai?

Right discrimination is problem.. Discrimination is there because Gita/culture promotes discrimination. You gave example of biharis, that is the just the result of caste discrimination carrying over in other areas. Regarding human being forming groups. In other cultures/religions, Its not dependent on any Guna/birth like Gita and is not fixed. There are multiple groups. In modern groups, a person is like brahmin in morning when he is working on new research project, like vaishya in afternoon when he is meeting his customers, kshtriya in evening when he is voluntering in national guard, shudra on weekend when he is working in garden..
So since same person can be in many roles, discrimination is not there, Unlike in Hindu culture.
take all religious books to court and lets see...the Quran will definitely be have to be banned. it is a parallel govt and will run contrary to the constitution of any democratic govt. The Geeta will come out unscathed.

Reportedly Swami Probhupad's notes were creating intolerence amongst certain sections of other religions in Russia. It's not the Gita but the way ISKON members publicised it created problem! let's ban ISKON in India!
