Holy Gita ! ! !
by chirag foryou on Dec 21, 2011 02:13 PM  | Hide replies

.
Holy book Gita is a mentor for all human kind, doesn't matter a person is from which religion.

To understand Gita, one has to be a first human, intellectual, civilize, have mercy to all live creatures and a person has to be a truly patriot.

So clearly to respect and understand Holy Gita is not a capacity and ability of each and every person.

Jai Hind

Indian Vedic contribution is a reservoir of Vibrant Information and
Harmonious Creativity. May the womb of nature embrace all with
tranquil blessings from this day forward? Let this attract one's
attention affecting them positively. It is a sanctuary of the self a
creative venue which serves as an enduring expression of lightness,
where a peaceful atmosphere with sunlight flows and serene atmosphere
prevail.

Get the correct end of the stick first!

The issue here is not about believing or respecting a particular religion. In my view, all religions are illogical but banning any religious book such as the Gita is apalling! A person has as much of a right to read the Bible, Kuran or Gita or any book trashing religions.

The issue is about people having the right to read, discuss and propagate whatever belief or faith that they belong to, in a country which claims to be a secular democracy! And Russia is a self professed democratic country. A banning of religious non-Is1amic texts in a country like Saudi Arabia or Iran or any particular religious texts in North Korea or China would not be a surprise, as they are all TOTALITARIAN regimes!

The Russians have to walk the talk when they talk about being a full fledged democracy and a long time ally of India!

Absolutely, Jai.In democratic set ups ,petitions are raised on petty issues. I agree with u that no books be banned in democratic nations. On the other hand protests make the issue brighter than it deserves n the very purpose of protest is defeated. The issue needs to be kept in oblivion.i dont think any free society is going to go for such restrictions

"In theBattlefield, a king orKṣatriya, whileFighting another kingEnvious of him, is eligible for achievingHeavenly planets afterDeath, as theBrāhmaṇas also attain theHeavenly planets bySacrificingAnimals in theSacrificialFire." ThereforeKilling on theBattlefield onReligious principles andKillingAnimals in theSacrificialFire are not at all considered to be acts ofViolence, because everyone is benefited by theReligious principles involved. TheAnimalSacrificed gets a human life immediately without undergoing the gradual evolutionary process from one form to another, and theKṣatriyasKilled on theBattlefield also attain theHeavenly planets as do theBrāhmaṇas who attain them by offeringSacrifice.

PGN, dear P.akistani, why don't you read the verse yourself and then decide ? The thing you have written is a distorted one. Read the whole of BG & decide what it says.

The verse BG 2.1 says simply that Lord Krishna is about to say something to depressed Arjuna. Where from did you copy and paste the above version ?

The Bhagavad-Gita was delivered by Sri Krishna to boost Arjuna’s
declining morale, motivation, confidence and to increase his
(Arjuna’s) effectiveness. The Gita contains the unwritten laws of the
universe. So if you study the same in a logical manner, you will
achieve salvation. But on the other hand if you are a devotee of Lord
Krishna and read it with devotion, you will achieve salvation. So, the
Gita will lead you to God both the intellectual way and the devotional
way.

Hi PGN,

Let us check the facts regarding which cast created which philosophy in India.

Vedas -- songs from all cast rishis and some women are there.

Poorva mimansa -- philosophy by bramhins, which is materialistic!!.

Sankya -- not by btamhins.

Jaina -- not by bramhins, by vaisyas

Byddha -- by a king

Gita - by a king from yadava cast

All later philosophies created by Bramhins like Advaita, visishtavaida, dwaita etc are only derivatives of these. They are not original.

So, if you need facts, we can argue. But if you are one of those hindu bashing secular idiots, just go on with your wrong blabbering.
