In 2006, the Supreme Court of India by its decision by a three member division bench, allowed for the storage level to be raised to 142 feet (43 m) pending completion of the proposed strengthening measures, provision of other additional vents and implementation of other suggestions.[29]

KERALA GOVT DIDN'T HONOUR THIS JUDGEMENT... and this JUGEMENT is based on an IMPARTIAL EXPERT COMMITEE REPORT so to counter this MALAYALEE COMMITEE(IIT) was formed to fool the entire country and its people.

verdict was very old and tamil nadu bribed kerala politicians and advocates to fail the case by themselves. This time things are diffrent. Tamils belive 21st century technology in koodangulam is unsafe and 18 century lime dam is safe. They are comparing a water bund somewhere in there state with 10 feet high and one feet water level to mullaperiyar.

jayalalitha claims that money/land has been given!!!!
by kidilanfroz on Dec 12, 2011 12:43 AM  | Hide replies

Jayalalitha claims that TN has provided money/land to lot of kerala officials and politicians.

She even said that lot of them have acres of land in theni and madurai!!!

This might back fire on TN as now its clear that TN has been bribing officials on all levels both central and state on mullaperiyar issue!!!

Kerala opposition leader achithanandan has asked Jayalalitha to reveal the names!!!!

poor jayalalitha did not knew that giving bribe is also a crime (perhaps she has experience in getting bribes only)

That shows how shameless these TN people are politicians are. The people actually worship TN politician released from Tihar like Kanimozhi and fall at her feet when she returns to Chennai.

TN is one rotten apple in the South Indian states that gives all of us bad name.

The most corrupt people. 2 G spectrum Raja, maran, Kanimozhi, Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha.

Thse people will try and spread their virus of corruption to rest of India also.

Jail Jayalalitha and rest of Tamil politicians NOW!

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: A U-turn, which many believe will weaken Kerala's case, by the Government complexed the Mullaperiyar row on Friday. The statements of Advocate General K. P. Dhandapani in the High Court and Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan in Thiruvananthapurm, underlining the argument of Tamil Nadu that the dam is safe with a water level of 136 ft, have earned the wrath of politicians cutting across partly lines.

Among those baying for the blood of AG were Opposition leader V. S. Achuthanandan, CPM PB member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala, Congress ideologue V.M. Sudheeran, Kerala Congress (Jacob) chairman Johny Nelloore and Kerala Congress (M) leader Roshy Augustine MLA. VS demaded immediate sacking of AG Dhandapani and even hinted at non-cooperation with the all party meeting convened by the state government. VS equated the statements of Thiruvanchoor and Dhandapani and alleged that there was a serious lapse in conducting the case after the UDF government had come to power.

man... AG has appeared before the cabinet ministers and given full explanation on this!!!!

do you think that the AG will be still in his position if he has done some thing to weaken the case of Kerala!!!!!!

AG only told court that currently the water level in idukki dam can hold water from Mullaperiyar dam if some thing happens now!!!!

This was later substanciated by engineers from Electricity board who informed that they had to release water from Idukki dam to 75% capacity in case such a thing happens!!!!

Read the other half of the article too before saying such things!!!!!

This matter is now closed as per Kerala CM and to all!!!!

There is a huge coke bottling plant in SIVA GANGA district...

COKE setup the plant in sivaganga after they were thrown out from plachimada in kerala.

COKE had paid most of politicians in TN to get water from Mullaperiyar for free!!!

TN politicians are not fighting for farmers.. they are fighting for COKE!!!!

COKE is virtually taking all the water for free and polluting the environment too!!!
The next generation of Tamils are going to pay heavily for this apathy by their government!!!

Ask TN Govt to first stop giving free water to COKE!!!!

Any comments?
