wHY there was no action from the statutory authorities. The should also be charged for culpable homicide
Heard a lot about what went wrong here. What's about doing a though check up of all other hospitals, put strict codes and do semi-annual fire drills? Follow this in not only hospitals but offices, buildings, everywhere where a mass casualty can happen. Bottom line this type of thing should never happen again.

By the way who should do all these - here in UK, the fire department is accountable for setting the codes and enforcing them. Off course they act independently and is not subjected to corruption or political pressure.

Why dragging the religions and casteism here Mr. SameerBhagwat.It is a tragedy the accidental fire taken place in the AMRI hospital in my city Kolkata.The Banias,Marwaris and the Hindutva etc etc have nothing to do with the fire incidence here..People like you can only see politics,communalism and racism in every aspect of life only..
FIRE CAN IRRUPT IN ANY HOSPITAL , SOME DAYS AGA THERE WAS FIRE IN SSKM , THAT DOSENT MEAN THIS IS THE FIRST TIME HAPPINING IN THESE STATE , THIS IS TO BE KEPT IN MIND THAT IT PROVIDE THE BEST MEDICAL TREATMENT IN THE STATE
Quite depressing to see it on TV!Inn our country permissions are bought by worthless characters! I bet there many more like this in country!After all who values poor citizens' lives?
