Business without ethics

A very close businessman of Late Jyoti Basu got the license to open this hospital in government land. Though, good doctors have been roped in, it is infamous for exorbitant and inflated bills. The hospital management's apathy to patient parties is well known. Even on the day, a case is pending in the highest court, in which an eminent Bengalee doctor in USA has filed suit against the hospital and some of its doctors for negligence and death to his wife who was also a doctor.

What big deal
by Jitesh Agrawal on Dec 09, 2011 08:24 PM  | Hide replies

What big deal if 89 got killed????? hasnt many such incidents happened in past????? what happened with the owners..... nothing absolutely nothing...... Ansals were released of uphar cinema fire after they "paid for people murdered in there cinema"..... here the owners havent been even booked for murder.

Why blame the owners by the way..... does the responsibility of police and fire department end with giving a report and getting an assurance?????? sure they would have their 'share" to look the other way...... book them also along with the owners for deliriction of duty and culpable homicide.... let few of them go to jail so that rest get the message.

Man-made disaster in WB CM's homeland
by BIKAS BHADRA on Dec 09, 2011 08:19 PM  | Hide replies

The Trinamool-INC govt. in W B has been claiming publicly that they have accomplished their task set out for 1000 days in 200 days only. They also promised that they would turn W B into an ideal state of India through a fine tuned state administration, shaking off political pulls/pressures in administrative spheres.

The AMRI Hospital, Kolkata, disaster should teach these self drum beaters to keep their mouths shut, as they have miserably failed even to make private-run hospitals/Nursing Homes to uphold the bare minimum safety/sevice quality standards as the statutory disciplinary authorities controlled by the state govt. did not take the trouble of bringing to book the offending units at the right time and their bosses (state ministers) have been busy attending to various low priority assignments.

Will any sensible citizen believe that the present ruling combination can translate into practice their tall poll promises ?

Basics have been ignored in passing on the comment.A Biased
opinion.
Can his child of 8 months age cook his/her food OR depends on the surroundings /set up around?
In the same logic, the vast set ups existing/working today are working by a culture SLOWLY DEVELOPED/ NOURISHED BY a 'free for all'
'need not be disciplined culture'supported by 'united
show ups' agaimst any action .
Over 34 years a culture of 'jo marji karo' culture was encouraged!
I personally say this as I was a victim of 'harassments'in trying to enforce discipline !
TODAY'S MATTER IS A RESULT OF THAT!
I have jotted 31 points which have been overlooked by practice!
One - WAS IT NECESSARY TO STACK INSLAMMABLES IN BASEMENT ?
ANY IDIOT WIL SAY 'NO'
WHO WAS THIS SUPER INTELLIGENT TO ALOW IT?
WHY THE CHECKS OF HOSPITAL DID NOT CLEAR IT?
IT CLEARLY SUGGESTS 'jo marji karo'
There are 30 more and will be released as necesary!
My request to 'health ministry' is 'INTRODUCE STERN CHECKS 'IN ALL SUCH INSTITUTES so that so recurrence takes place in future!

Several such accidents have happened in the past. An exemplary punishment will help the govt to establish it's image.

What about the security staff ? Were they sleeping ? My neighbour was rescued by Young men from adjacent Panchanantala who were not let in at the first instance. We should salute the young men from Panchanantala.

It's really a big dream! She has to save municipality, run by her party. She can blame Left for unequipping Fire Dept. Todis and Goenkas are very rich and they will continue their battle in court forever. Hospital employees and Doctors are not to blame, as they are not fire fighters. They can as well say that it was too difficult to stay inside, so they ran away. Effectively, nothing will happen. It is not the punishment we want. We want systematic change. People has to follow rules and regulations set by administers. Can she ensure that?
