What is democracy? Is it herd mentality or accomodating different ways of tackling a common issue for all inclusive decision making process. A mature democracy does not require even a written constitution like that in England. We have to learn democratic governance with Wisdom of a visionary charismatic leader. What we have got today is corporate governance of manipulating stakeholders by privileged promoters and some times Outsourcing to Expatriots.
First of all what is the meaning of 'Brahminism'? You know what... It is the word coined by someone who wanted Caste system to stay for ever in India. Yes... It is at first brought in by Britishers who wanted the Country to be divided in the lines of caste. Post Independence, torch bearers of that nasty legacy of Britishers (like this author) still basically want this Caste system to stay. Just think...where is the caste system in Cities? In cities, economic condition determines a persons respectability or otherwise. Why so? Because, in this age, Money is the equalises perceived inequalities. So people should understand that economic development of the country is the surest way of totally eradicating the present caste anomaly. So support Anna against corruption and for electoral reforms which will bring development. It is a totally different that 'Sanathana Dharma' never accept a fact that caste is by birth. It says it is by Qualities inherent in a person. First of all, if you are a Hindu, please take up this and fight against 'Casteism' which is dangerous(not Caste System) like Dayananda Saraswati or Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. If you are not an Hindu, this author must have the courtesy not to comment on other faiths. Can the Hindus, comment on the mindless barbarism prevalent in the name of Jihad and evangelism, both of which are thousand time dangerous to the Indian soil.

If that ws so easy - why doesn't this dude Yogi Sikand does something for his society? Not a single person will do what he says- not even his wife and children? The people like Sikand want to exploit their so called "low caste" status and attribute their laziness and lack of success to caste alone. Using caste alone as basis to get extra benefit will only perpetuate casteism. I am not responsible that some unknown people 100 years ago treated so xcalled low caste people like this and that - I am only responsible for my behavior and ans I don't care anyone's caste. ALso, it is time low caste people upgrade their caste just like they educate their educations. Who stops themn declaring themselves as Brahmins or Baniyas or anything else? There is no law against it.
awesome -- ppl are in denial here. fact is the anna team thought the govt would give in after 3-4 days of fasting -- with every passing day, bedi, bhushan and kejriwal felt more and more guilty that hazare may die bcos of their vested interest in having him fast -- they convinced hazare to stop fasting when govt offered a face saving empty promise package

The author appears to be in a fix,is criticising to fan division in Indians on the basis of caste and religion. Anna's village is a complete Hindu village where he rennovated an old delapidated Hindu temple.the author has objected to that even that. I think he would have not commented or would have praised if he had constructed a mosque.author detest that Anna idealise Lord Rama.What is wrong.I only hope the author is not in any way related to Swami Agnivesh.

Even BC,Ambedkar wanted only Temporary solution of Special treatment for no more than 10 Years after independence.
