Now that is a wonderful analysis on the Indian elections and the elected representatives.
Columnists like Sheela Butt need to learn from these articles to understand what ANALYSIS means.

Good Article

Very good thoughts from the author. I agree with him that India is a pseudo-democracy which is run by people who has lineage and patrogane with the corrupts and by criminals who can flex muscle power and black money power.

It is foolish to believe that a Parliament comprising 90% corrupt people, will enact a bill like Janalokpal to fight corruption. It will depend on the rest 10% to raise their voice and join the fight with all sincerity. People like Mr. A.K. Anthony, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Mr. Gurudas Dasgupta, Mr. Manmohan Singh(believing his 'emotional' address in Parliament)and may be some more should ask their conscience and join Team Anna to strengthen the fight.

If they are not willing to pass an effective bill against corruption we can force them to take our suggestions by protest, that is the good this Anna is doing, and even if they don't bring effective solution with some results to reduce corruption, we should throw them in next elections, but in any case we cannot blackmail them to pass only particular version of bill which is not tested and which is already criticized by non-government experts, that is what bad about Anna is.

AnnaHazare has just filled in the vacuum when our ElectedRepresentatives failed to enact a law to control corruption in more than 42 years. TheLokPal Bill has been pending since 1969.

Also there are many other countries with similar laws. HongKong is the best example. The corruption inHongKong was more than what we have now in India when they enacted the law and now it is one of the least corrupt countries in the world.

Yes, and I do want a lokpal similar to hongkong in India, but not the janlokpal. It is a rumor being spread that hongkong lokpal is similar to jlp. But the important difference is, HK lokpal has powers to investigate, not to give punishment, that is still left to judiciary. Thats is how every other countries, police, investigating agencies and lokpals are designed, and there is good reason for that. In JLP, it has both the powers. Imagine the police atrocities in India, even though they dont have right to punish, what will happen if court system disappears, how many innocents will be killed and tortured. Same is the case of lokpal, even if lokpal punishes an innocent, there is no way to fight back. If that amount of power is removed from lokpal and it is made more accountable, then we should support it, otherwise we are agitating only to kill ourselves by new bureaucrats.
