This article is basically written to support govt. bill. For full details please read the actual bill and also compare between the govt. bill and jan lokpal bill. This bill in present form cannot help in solving corruption.

Guys, article is called as "all about lokpal". But it hided lots of things both negatives of govt. lokpal and positives of jan lokpal. Don't get trapped into the Government's negative propaganda. Please read yourself both the bills and decide.

Why Anna, even oridinary citizens have no faith. Don't speak of theory. In theory we are a democracy but in reality this democracy is sham. What with 40% parliamentarians having court cases pending against them some of which are as serious as murder, extortion and dacoity!
Re: insult
by Vijay Sahani on Aug 08, 2011 11:26 AM
40% of parliament is in the hands of chutiyyyyaaas having criminal cases pending against them. Do you expect them to pass a Bill which will reign in their nefarious and illegal activities?
The government is only interested to be in power. It does not listen to people's voice.
We need an institution which will have the mandate to keep our system clean. Just like we have an institution of judiciary which has the mandate to impart justice, the institution of police to investigate and prosecute, the institution of bureaucracy to run the government, the institution of legislators to make laws, we need an institution which is exclusively work to investigate only corruption cases and keep the system clean and healthy.
Any person aggrieved by any corrupt government official should be able to approach this institution to remedy his grievance. Such an institution is Jan Lok Pal proposed By Anna Hazare. Government’s version of Lok Pal, on the other hand, will not serve this purpose.

What I don’t like in Govt Lok pal
1. Selection committee dominated by government nominees 2. Min. 2 years imprisonment for false complaints but 6 months for corrupt official. 3. All bureaucrats not covered by Lok Pal 4. MPs conduct inside parliament not covered 5. Judiciary not covered (This can be waived if Judicial Comm Bill is passed with sufficient teeth). 6. Govt funded NGOs covered by Lok Pal which will distract Lok Pal’s attention away from civil servant’s corruption. 7. PM not included 8. Protection for whistleblower not there 9. Confiscation of wealth and levy of penalty not there. 10. Removal of Lok Pal largely in hands of Government.
Most of the above defects are taken care of in Jan Lok Pal.

1. No Govt will not dominate..See the structure of committee members… participation from govt side will be 3 only if we include speaker of the Lok Sabha..(PM, cabinet minister and Speaker).

4. MPs conduct inside parliament not covered
First of all as per our constitution we should believe on our Parliament. Who select MPs?. One example ..your are working somewhere? And every time if you have a treat on your mind … if you do anything wrong, u can sack from your job… how you focuse on your job.. Hav u justify with ur job..
In Govt Lokpal Bill there is a rule against corrupt MPs..outside the Parliament, So u don’t think. MPs are not covered inside the Parliament is Ok…. Bcz we should believe and faith on our parliament. Most important thing we are responsible to elect our corrupt MPs.

Judiciary and PM not covered (This can be waived if Judicial Comm Bill is passed with sufficient teeth).
Its means you don’t hav faith on Judiciary, Constitution, Parliament, PM, Govt. You have only faith on Lokpal Bill proposed by Anna….
Today more than 1 lakh case are pending in the court. It is not due to Judiciary but it is due to us.
Today only appox 25% of our population paid TAX regularly… Even Anna’s trust didn’t file the return on 08-09.

What you think if Anna proposed Bill accepted by Parliament will remove Corruption?
Why lokpal or any such thing, just bring the following: 1. All criminal/corrupt cases in one year time and criminal in 3 years time must be settled else judge concerned is to be punished. 2. Remove from seat the politician and govt. servant on prime facie accused, till he found clean. 3. Adopt for govt. servants scales and retirement on army pattern, where a Jawan retires at 40 and Lt. Col. at 50, they continue if posts are there and track record including health is good.

Basic problem is "independence of the investigating agency". The government is unwilling to let go of their hold on CBI and Police.
In 1947, August 15, when we got independence, Gandhiji called a meeting of Congress Leaders and told them to dissolve Congress party and conduct an election. So that we have a government by the people. Then our these power hunger great leaders like Pandit Nehru and company told Gandhiji that till 1947 the British Rulers were looting the nation and now we got the chance to loot this nation and we will loot.
The purpose of the Lokpal is to eradicate corruption. Not to protect anyone. Corruption take where discretion exist. The Constitution of India does not authorise anyone to have unlimited discretion. Even the President does not have infinite discretion. He can take decision in accordance with the recommendation of Cabinet. Then why should the Prime Minister is excluded from the Lokpal bill? Corruption is the route for establishing foreign rule. It happened in the past. The kings of the past were influenced by corrupt means by colonial powers. The colopowers use the same method even now.

Various systems of governance were put into practice through the FIFTH COLUMNS of colonialists in various countries. No colony is free from these men. India included. Almost all political parties in the country is intruded by these FCs. They may be in the top level of political hierarchy. But the people are not aware of it. Poor ignorant men just play the fiddle for them. What a pity!! All those powers who fled from India are trying to come back. The fifth columnists are working to bring back those powers These colonialists make their policies accordingly in their countries. It is time we make an overall study on the world bodies such as WB, IMF, ADB, MNCs etc. These bodies have their own hard policies. They do not accept the SOVEREIGNTY OF NATIONS. They force nations to follow their policies!! Horse trading is the rule of the day. They force or coax India/Indian corporate to follow their dictates. To achieve this they use the fifth columnists. Look at the way people talk and uses the terms -reforms, globalization, SEZ, FDI etc They influence govt through Indian corporate also. Indian corporate muddle with democratic elections. Corporate to think seriously. Let us look for leaders who think for the NATION, speak for the NATION, work for the NATION. Not to show off, but from the heart of heart. Let us find political parties who think, speak and work for the NATION. How many leaders/corporate use the word PATRIOTISM in their public talk.
I BEING A BORNED INDIAN APPEAL TO ALL THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION TO GIVE YOUR FULL SUPPORT FOR ANNA HAJARE'S 2nd FREEDOM STRUGGLE TO GET A CPMPLETE FREEDOM FROM ALL THE CORRUPT GOVT. MACHINARIES. I BEING A EX-SOLDIER AND NOW SERVING ONE OF THE GOVT. OF INDIA'S DEPT. KNOW HOW THIS MACHINARY PROTECTS ALL THE CORRUPTS. THIS MACHINARY NOT ONLY PROTECT THEM BUT ALSO INCITE AND ENCOURAGES THEM FOR CORRUPTION. ONE THING I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT WE ARE 121 CRORES IN NO.S AND THESE CORRUPTS ARE NOT EVEN 1% OF OUR POPULATION. AND SITTING IN PARLIAMENT THEY DECIDE OUR FUTURE. i.e. THE PLANNING COMMISSION. WHAT PLANNING COMMISSION DOES??? THEY DECIDE HOW TO SPEND THE MONEY COLLECTED THROUGH TAXES PAID BY US, THEY EVENLY DISTRIBUTE THE SAME TO ALL DEPT. WHO DO NOTHING BUT FINDS NEW WAYS HOW TO GRAB THAT MOENY AND CONVERT IT INTO BALCAK MONEY. MY COUNTRYMEN, BROTHERS/SISTERS YOU ALL HAVE SEEN THE SCAMS/SCANDALS TOOK PLACE DURING RECENT YEARS. WHOSE MONEY IS THIS??? THIS IS OUR MONEY SO WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO ASK FOR ITS ACCOUNT. TELL ME DURING THE 60 YEARS OF INDEPENDENT WHO HAVE GIVEN US THIS ACCOUNT?? NONE. AND CAG GIVES ITS REPROT SO FAR IT WAS NOT PUBLISHED PUBLICALLY. AND SO FAR NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AGAINST THE SINGLE CULRPIT. SO, THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR US TO WAKE UP AND SUPPROT SHRI ANNA HAJARA AND HIS TEAM BY ALL MEANS. BE PREPERED EVEN TO GO TO JAILS. AND IF NOT COME ON STREETS, KEEP FAST AND SHOW YOUR WRATH AGAISNT THESE CORRUPT PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOOTED YOUR AND MY NATION.

Please release the caps lock on your computer before typing. It is difficult to read when you type in all caps and, on the internet, it is akin to shouting.
Team Anna should do something positive. I suggest that they should set up a paraller Jan Lok Pal. Of course, this Jan Lok Pal will have no official powers, but will have the immense capacity to detect and publicise corruption. They can be assisted by citizen investigator and, by using the RTI Act, they can cause enormous trouble for the corrupt.
Will this lead to anarchy? It may, but as Mao Dezong said, "If order is injustice, disorder is the beginning of justice."
Hi, This article appears to be highlighting(and baised) only the positive parts of government. a) It has not talked about the exclusion of the lots of government employees. Rather it talks about exclusion of NGOs. b) It has not talked about the exclusion of state government employees c) It has not talked about the minimum punishment(2 years) for whistleblower in case his complaint is found wrong as against the minimum punishment of just 6 months for the guilty of corruption. d) It has not talked about selection committee getting overly dominated by politicians. and many more.
