There will be no shortage of Babas - Sai, Saty, Super, Prem, etc. All of them will be able to produce exopensive watches and Vibhuti out of thin air, no doubt. What India needs is a Baba who can produce 1 Kg of Rice out of thin air. The poor will be able to feed their empty bellies at least.

Although I have not been closely following the life and wonders of Sathya Sai Baba, yet from what I have heard or known, we Indians need to be proud of having been contemporaries of a person who lived a dedicated life in the name of love, honesty and truth. Every person who has shared his life for the good of humanity needs to be revered be he of any other religion, caste or creed. So I place in print my appreciation of a soul who has lived a virtuous life to be returned to his creator for being rewarded according to his belief and deeds.
It is appalling how some people deem it appropriate and fit to throw stones at a person who is no more and who shall never appear to defend himself. I can only pray for such demeaning and infamous individuals whose words, acts and deeds will be judged by the Almighty Himself.
May the soul of Sathya Sai Baba rest in peace -Amen.
Regarding some vague belief by some sycophants that he will be reborn, it is absurd that a person who promised to live up to 96 but left ten years earlier, can never be reborn again for it is said "dust thou art and in to dust you shall return". So is with this soul. R.I.P.

Correction!!! You are saying this as per english calendar.. we have to follow indian Hindu caledar.Check with any astrologer and you will notice that he lived for 95 years and passed away at 96 which he promised.

Sathya Sai baba was a very good conjurer and enchanter of the people, a great trickster. He utilised layman's blind faith and rich person's fear of god for their misdoings supremely well. Why God has to incarnate and re-incarnate only in India and not anywhere else if God is the creator/tender/destroyer of the universe. Is God partial to Bharat? The V.C. of IISC, Bangalore sought to experiment on his supernatural abilities - but he did not respond as the VC was a scientist and not gullible devotee. Junior PC sorcar matched all the tricks of bringing bivuti or Rasgollah out of thin air siiting in front of Sathya Sai. He had no answer. Real God does not need to such cheap publicity which a magician can do more effectively. True godman does not go for accumulation of property. He only exhibits compassion. mercy, universal love like Buddha, Jesus, Sri Chaitanya, Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Mahavir, Guru Nanak. They do not ask anything - they only give.

Agreed with u.It was the VC of bangalore university Dr.H.Narasimhaiah who caught him red-handed once at whitefield, bangalore. A true spiritual leader does not proclaim himself as god and propogate crap stories.

People who are creating, promoting religions are not spiritual leaders.
BABA never said HE came for any religion or to promote any religion. HE brought all under one roof and HIS only mission was unity of mankind and peace-harmony for all.
Its a shame for people dont understand GOD's egoless nature and they dont really deserve peace or blessing from GOD as some think they are above GOD after reading some books.

Spiritual leaders like sri ramakrishna paramahamsa and swami vivekananda never promoted any religion but dispelled misconceptions about hinduism in the west by explaining its rich philosophy and they never performed any miracles either.They led very austere lifestyles and never accumulated wealth and suffered greatly in life.
