In a setback to the BJP in general and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in particular, the Congress today won 18 out of 33 seats that went to polls on April 19 for the newly-constituted Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
The maiden contest for 33 GMC seats was a keenly-contested battle between ruling BJP and opposition Congress as Gandhinagar parliamentary seat has been represented by senior BJP leader LKAdvani.

Ha ha if only 16% can change the government then I am strong enough to say other 84% are not interested in country matters;
The CD row will continue with allegations & counter allegations, even if The claims by Bhushans that the Cd are doctored is true, it is still a fcat that such a conversation had taken place for sure, But I do not agree with the claims by certain section in the media that the movement for fight against corruption has been adverse affected, definitely not till Anna is around, These Bhushan may be replaced by equally capable & eminent experienced lawyers or social activist.We have quite a few of them in this country, MEanwhile, I suppose the media is diverting the subject line & presenting the whole issue in the totally distorted manner, probably a die hard effort by the govt to ensure that the impact of last 2 weeks or so of developments is reduced to just a passing phase of another protest which will die its natural dead with time, Anna will fight till the end, we , the people of this nation must show solidarity with him & also show our willingness to contribute in our own way finding some free time for him from our busy schedule, People must not forget that this campaign by Anna is no ordinary one,it concerns the loot by the countries politicians,Business men, Bureaucrats & the people in power for decades since independence, Instead of maligning anna;s efforts, the media must come out with an estimated loot by these people over the decades & let people know how seriously grave is the offence so much so th
