Sonia is a part of the family which has created this rotten system, and will never act against this system unless the people force them to the walls. What action she or her party has taken against corruption, for bringing black money back to the country, etc. The answer is - Nothing. This leter is just a posturing and a part of a big media management exercise, by which congess is trying to Insulate Sonia from the (mis)deeds of UPA-1&2. The media is playing to the gameplan of its masters, and an impression is being given that the top rung in UPA, like MMS, Sonia, Raul are holier than cow. It is time that people see through these game plans. Corruption by any person - from congess or bjpee or even bhushans should not be tolerated, and the corrupt must be punished, and corruption should go. Every citizen has to be a part of this. Today, almost all government officials are abusing their positions by demandng small to huge money for doing petty works - moving a file in govt department, to clearing of goods in customs, to harassing honest citizens just to extort money for giving clearances. We should move in a direction where Citizens neither ask for bribes nor offer bribes. But for this we need to understand who all are managing this whole system, and if there is any tendency on the part of the rulers to change that for good - the answer here is, No. MMS, Sonia at least are not doing anything to improve this system, except writing letters to Anna.
Anna is a honest but very naive gullible man. He likes to believe that Sonia Gandhi has no hand in the smear campaign. He is also gullible in believing that the smear campaign unleashed by Digvijay Singh and CONGRESS lackey Amar Singh does not have the blessings of Sonia Gandhi. I am of the opinion that this down to earth honest man is not fit to lead the fight against corruption. He is conveniently forgetting that Sonia Gandhi is a politician--Do I need to say anything more about Politicians?

Politicians are the greatest administrators the country is producing. India canot survive for 10 years if we dont have them
and thus is now trying to make peace with the establishment beofre the smear campaign unearths the skeletons in his closet. If sonia gandhi is such a supporter of anti corruption movement let her start by throwing out, kamladi, deshmukh, pawan bansal etc. Its like all those miss India's claiming i will use the prize money for the poor ... what a great Indian drama

Dear Anna Saab, pls do not take her at face value. She has mastered the art of speaking to her audience according the need of the situation. She is like a Bore Well. You can see 3' Hand Pump above the ground but there will be a 300' depth under the ground. She will be the biggest victim to the jan Lok Pal Bill and she will leave no styone un-turned to sabotage the bill, using her Foul-Mouthed Shouting Brigade headed by Brigadier Digvijay Singh.
Amidst all this there is this lady, No one knows who she is, what she is made up of. She sits behind a veil gives statements, rules this country behind the scenes. Some say she is a goddess, some say she is the epitome of corruption. But no one knows who this lady truly is. She does not give speeches much, does not address the media. She remote controls the country and God knows what her motivations are. Could we believe that this Italian is staking her life to help the country. How does she handle the corrupt politicians? How does this illiterate person manage the historical Indian national congress? At the same time, how does she handle intellectuals like MMS and Chidambaram. True no one know the answers to these. No One know the MADAM Antonio. and that is scary

Illiterate? It seems Sonia is more educated and rational than the IIT educated Arvind who hasn't done his home work on who should sit on the panel.

sacrificed, I think that is a wrong conception. She was not allowed to become the PM by the petition filed by Dr Subramania Swamy and Dr. Abdul Kalam sanctioned the petition and appealed to the congress about a non Indian born clause in the constitution that prohibits Sonia from becoming PM. So there is no question of sacrifice.

Dear Pen Diamond, I know that gives a lot of people like you some comfort, to believe that Sonia wasn't 'allowed'. Abdul Kalam's personal secretary's biography has something else to say though. He says the letter was typed and ready when Sonia came to meet APJ. But she didn't stake claim to be the PM. Sorry for having disturbed your bliss.
